I always loved the poetic symbolism of this scene. Sean's car has an American body but a Japanese engine. Sean is American, but his heart is in Japan.

The amazing thing about this movie is how a bunch of broken ass high schoolers were able to buy all of those parts ,were all mechanics,able to finish the whole car within a week and sean learned how to drift in a few days to win against the best drifter 🤣 but at least is better than the new dumb nonsense fast and the furious
