Why did trump ignore Whelan's family when they begged him to do something?
  • Thank you, Germany, Norway, Turkey, Slovenia, Poland and President Biden for your amazing work getting our Americans home from Russian imprisonment!

Huge win for the wrongly imprisoned, their families, and America for bringing them home after a nonstop nightmare. Have to give props to the Biden administration and State Department officials for pulling it off.

Statement from Whelan's family: "But we believe the media attention has been a crucial factor in securing Paul's freedom. Those first years were hard when the Trump Administration ignored Paul's wrongful detention, and it was media attention that helped to finally create critical mass and awareness within the U.S. government."

It great to have these people back in their country. As quoted by President Biden, " It's important to have friends who you can trust," not all friends can be trusted. ✨️ 💯

I'm glad that Biden's recovered and his strong voice has returned.

Paul Whelan’s first act on American soil on Thursday evening was to offer a crisp salute to the commander-in-chief. A former U.S. Marine, Whelan raised his right hand to his brow while descending from the plane that brought him home. After months of being held hostage in Russia, Whelan, along with Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich and Russian-American journalist Alsu Kurmashev, landed at Joint Base Andrews outside Washington at 11:37 p.m. EDT following a long journey from Turkey. They were released along with other hostages in a historic East-West prisoner swap involving 24 people across six countries.
  • If only this kind of peace and compassion for one another could just continue on and on~~~
