Practicing “I Love You Lord” (Check Description)

Published 2023-11-14
I’ve been working on playing the piano for just over a month off and on. Probably a couple of weeks out of the month really because I was sick for a decent amount of this month.😵‍💫 The song I Love You Lord was written in the mid 1970s. The lyrics are just beautiful. I grew up singing this song in school chapel and in church. It’s been years since I’ve heard it but I’ve always loved the song. Hope you enjoy. God bless you.❤️

Lyrics:
I love You, Lord
And I lift my voice
To worship You
Oh, my soul, rejoice
Take joy, my King
In what You hear
May it be a sweet, sweet sound
In Your ear

Hope everyone has enjoyed walking the piano journey with me. I’m practicing daily and hope that it shows how hard I’ve been working on it. I have coordination and neurological problems that are definitely a struggle with the piano but I refuse to let it stop me. I may have to work harder and longer than some artists and it definitely depends on the song but I will not give up. I was also born with hearing loss and even though I struggled with hearing in my daily life, when it comes to music I hear perfectly. It’s really a miracle. I have a very large family and out of them only my mom, grandma and myself inherited the gift of playing by ear. I believe only one person out of each generation in my family heritage has had the gift. That means the world to me. I’ve already have done more than I thought I could possibly do and I believe with Jesus giving me the strength, I will achieve playing the piano as best as I possibly could ever have before. My goal is to be able to play the hallelujah chorus by my 50th birthday. That gives me 11 years. If I can do it by 45, I won’t complain about that one.😜
