  • What's really cool about mixing resistance training with fat loss is how it goes beyond just changing numbers on a scale—it's about personal transformation. When you start to see those changes, not just in muscle tone but also in how you carry yourself, it's a huge boost to your self-worth. It’s like, you’re not just working out; you’re building a stronger, more confident you. And that kind of change affects more than just your physical appearance; it seeps into how you view yourself and your abilities.

“All women are hypo-gonadal… You’re not a candidate for rapid muscle growth”… Never heard that argument phrased that way and is very on point

The knowledge I've learned from the RP channel is absolutely priceless. Dr Mike is an absolute legend. Also he is one of the funniest podcasters I've ever seen

Vince Gironda back in the 50's would get people to lose fat and build muscle at the same time. Serge Nubret did the same in his gyms in the 80's. It wasn't even a debate.

As an older woman, this is how I've found it: cardio makes me feel good, weights work makes me look good.
  • I have to thank Chris for introducing me to Dr Mike. I’ve probably watched 50 of his vids on his channel since. He’s as knowledgeable as he is hilarious.
  • People online don't know how fortunate they are to have a guy committed to understanding the body and fitness at the level Dr. Mike does. Dare I say he is the redeemer from the days of Mentzer gone by. That doesn't mean he agrees with Mike Mentzer, but he adheres to knowing what works, for many bodies, in many cases, and admits if he's wrong. I admire him.
  • Ive started doing wheight training after loosing over 110 pounds. I had a lovely time running. Running was impossible at my wheight, so being able to run, jump, and not feel pain? It was like a dream. Couldnt belive it. Ive been runing half marathons in an alright-ish time. Nothing special, but for me it is. Now Ive shifted to resistance trainig and I can deffinitely feel som different benefits. Im still losing wheight. One of the benefits I never really noticed, was how much better my back has become. Didnt realy think it was that bad with pain, but it apperently was. Just a month worth of resistance training and high strectching (wanted to do the splits and im getting there) has made an almost unreal difference. Wheight loss alone made a huge difference, but already feeling much more agile and less fragile after a couple of months is wonderfull. I dont think im growing all that much, but it feels like Im gaining controll, power and become more and more atuned with my body. I know I can trust it to actually do things without breaking. Back rows, deadlifts, even a few modest pullups with good form is possible. I know its nothing special, but 4 years ago, I had lost all hope at even walking painless.

Dr. MIKE has helped me gain more bodybuilding diet knowledge. I'm a 72 year old woman, a fitness instructor and have been weight training since my 20's. People think I'm in my 50's. Weight training and clean eating is the key. I also sleep 10 hours a night

Dana White also took TRT. Can’t say he gained the 10+ lbs of muscle while losing fat while leaving that out.
  • Dr Mike Israetel the best and funniest doctor on the internet ! Seriously with his videos from ultimate beginner you can go for a show only just watching his channel !
  • @Sam_Stanton
So glad he is putting this out there. I’ve been coaching clients down this route for the past 10 years. No one believes me until they experience it 😅

After 60 years of hard lifting, I became strong and kept under 10 BF, my arms were never much over 14 inches. It may have been due to lots of running and biking, added to my lifting.
  • Surprised he’d bring up Dana White considering he’s admittedly on TRT.
  • great video thanks
