Watched this frank, interesting interview with Kiran Rao and was reminded of my own life 30 years ago! I am from Calcutta and went to the same school ,Loreto House Park Street and finished my schooling in 1976. She is absolutely right when she says it is the land of education, art , culture, theatre, music and films and back in those days money was of little consequence . The focus was on one's education, culture ethics , good mnners and your own skills and how you conducted yourself. Like her , I too got married in 1982 to a struggling actor after a 3 year romance and settled in Bombay. I don't know how she adjusted to all the hypocrites, the insincere blabber and the self absorbed narcissists in the film line! My husband and I were together for 10 years before we parted ways after the serial Ramayan was completed in 1989 and I went my own way and successfully carved my life as a Copywriter & a Social Journalist and a hands on Animal Welfare Person Hats off to Kiran for being able to survive in the film line. Interesting conversation. Kiran speaks well. The only grouse i have nowadays is a) why do people have to insert the word 'like' every time? Neither of them can say even 2 sentences to say something without 'like', 'you know'...😮😅

Kiran Rao is so impressed with Aamir Khan. Her mother in-law is an " apple of her eye". She is sooo friendly with Aamir's ex wife Reena. Kiran adores children of Aamir from his previous marriage. Everything is so perfect that Kiran- Aamir decide to divorce. Reminds me of a song from the movie - PAGE 3- " कितने अजीब रिश्ते हैं यहां के•••••"🤔
