We went from overwatch 2 to overwatch 1.2 to overwatch 0.7 and now its overwatch 0.5 lmao xd.
  • A reminder that Splatoon 1, released on a console that no one bought, had a offline single player campaign since day 1 that you can still go and play today, even after the online service shuts down.

I loved it when Arthas said “This entire city must be purged”, then proceeded to purge the PvE mode of Overwatch 2.

Blizzard is panicking, while Arrowhead is having fun with the Helldivers 2 players, and Square Enix is getting ready to release another XIV expansion. There are better options than any Blizzard game.
  • I don't know how anyone could fumble an IP as big as this. Blizzard FAILED to turn Overwatch into the brand it was supposed to be. Imagine if they had made TV shows, movies, spin offs. Blizzard had gold in the palm of their hands and soiled it because of greed. Overwatch will NEVER recover from this

It should not be legal them to do this. They advertised and sold the idea of the game based on the pve additions.

The scummiest thig was that they cancelled story missions before the game launched and they were still marketing them to keep people playing for the launch. You just couldn't trust this company after this backstab.

Overwatch "2's" sole purpose was definitely just to be a way to redo the monetization and make it way more expensive. They accidentally made OW1 too generous with its lootboxes not giving duplicate items anymore so people were able to get everything just by playing. The original PVE plan got scrapped before OW2 even released but they didn't let anyone know until later. I'm never touching a game that has Blizzard anywhere near it again. Dumpster company inside and out. They had a golden goose but killed it because it wasn't made of diamonds. Fucking disgraceful.

Blizzard killed the only thing that could have actually got me into Overwatch. Oh well, their loss, not mine.

‘Because not enough players were willing to pay $15 for the three PvE story missions that were offered instead of the free campaign and hero missions that were originally advertised as part of moving from Overwatch 1 to Overwatch 2, we have determined players do not care about PvE’ -Blizzard Executives, probably.

Blizzard cancelling the Story Missions should be no surprise at this point. Probably the only reason they haven't formally announced it yet, is because they wanted to string their remaining player base along, like they did with the Skill Tree last year. But now that the cat's out of the bag, they will have to admit to it publicly, eventually.
  • worst part is the last people who were working on the PVE content were actually laid off because the first bits of the mission didnt sell well... shows you what is valued at Activision Blizzard :/

Blizzard; so good news is you get free heroes now, bad news we’re getting rid of the reason for the 2 in the name

To think that Overwatch vs Team Fortress 2 used to be a valid question....
  • @Acemont
So they "reverse No Man's Sky"-ed it.
  • @FrahdChikun
Just when you thought Overwatch 2 hit rock bottom, they manage to dig even deeper
  • It’s crazy to me that Team Fortress 2 has managed to hold a somewhat active playerbase for nearly 20 years and the Overwatch Devs somehow didn’t think to use that game as a blueprint for keeping their game alive for an extended period of time without requiring a sequel.
