  • Been doing both for almost 50 years. I have changed how I integrate both as I hit my 50s and 60s. Moved from running to biking in my early 50s. The pay off is my quality of life in my 60s. Fitness is a gift you give yourself for a lifetime. Just be active folks!
  • I eat low fat, low sugar, proteins, stay hydrated, and WALK. Ive lost 27 pounds so far.

There isn’t a shortcut. If you want to be in truly good shape you need to lift weights, do cardio, and eat properly.

A mix of both is the best!

The runners animation is killing me

Cardio, Strength training ( Calisthenics and or lifting ) , and a good diet is the holy trinity Edit : + sleep as well

Thank you for reminding me I need to work out more.

I think stomach training is the most common one and it was not considered here. My stomach can bench press 4 BigMacs at once with fries included. I get a diet soda with that to not break the diet.
  • @RAMBOLOGY
Wow this comes out right after i finished at the gym for the day. I usually do a mix of both. A jog in the beginning then lift some weights.

Great video. I do both cardio and weight training. Do not forget, benefits will only occur as they are supposed to with the correct nutrition, rest and healthy habits.

I’m a mailmen that walks 10 miles a day and drink 2 gallons of water throughout the day no food until I get home I eat whatever my wife makes until I get really full i also drink a cold coke with my meal and I lost over 100 pounds in 6 months at first it was hard fasting but I always felt energetic not sluggish at all. I would of never thought just walking would help that much.
  • @katyrebel18
I like doing a mixture of both. HIIT workouts with kettlebells

Risk of injury is super important especially as you get older. Lifting can be flat out dangerous if you do not have the proper equipment, instruction, technique and spotting to make each type of lift effective. Cardio on the other hand is simple and can be done by most with a few precautions. None of that was brought up in the video and its very important in choosing one over the other.

I always do a mix of both. Usually about 15-30 mins of cardio as a warmup, then about 30-60 mins of weightlifting or calisthenics.
