rainy day here in Washington State. perfect tunes while I work and look out across the wooded field.

My whole life, I've had many recurring dreams that feel like memories. Often, I'm sitting and watching people working, they're making things in the sun and there are animals around. I don't really know when and where this is. The terrain is rocky and there is a brisk wind. I'm wearing soft shoes, a thick necklace, and my hair is cut to different lengths. Then it's dusk. I'm traveling away. I'm crouching, walking low, quietly, I'm approaching a place where I don't want someone to hear me. My husband walks with me. We're confident, stealthy, agile, athletic. His arms are bare and he has tattoos across his upper arms and shoulders. It is early morning, we walk up to a stone and earthen window. There is something in my right hand. I stand up to peek over the edge of the window, the rock windowsill is cold on my fingertips. Someone sees me, I raise the object in my hand. I move quickly. I know what to do. Everything moves faster. I wake up. I've dreamed this exact same dream hundreds of times, since I was very young. When my real husband and I first met, we both recognized each other but couldn't quite say how. I told him that I liked the lion tattoo on his upper arm; he said it was important to him but oddly he wasn't sure why he got it, other than he knew he always had it. He's the same person from the memory- I think we've known each other a very long time.

Maine, Rugged mountains seem to fall into the sea. Much the same terrain, fauna and flora and seasons. Working Fishing villages and towns tucked away in harbors scattered up to and 'DownEast', which contrary to any sort of logic, is actually up NORTH along ME 1 to Canada along the coastline. For me, it's about as close to Norseland as I've seen anywhere in the States.
