Enneagram started out as a way for me to create characters and figure out their motivations, but this has been such a great way to help myself deal and I feel like I understand myself so much better now.

Imagine being violinist and eneatype 4 and watch the intro of that number with a violinist guy...just made my day 😂
  • as a 4 i can describe the two sides of my personality in two types of movies: a indie noir black and white movie with low budget and a symple script that consists in two actors walking and discussing the subtleties of life; and a megalomaniac upbeat and colorful hollywood musical with an original soundtrack and many dance numbers with a stratospheric budget exalting the beauty of cinema.
  • I initially took a test because I was bored like 10 years ago. None of the top 3 results were me, so I was all, "This is crap," and moved on. I came back to it because my counselor suggested it, tested again, still didn't resonate with the top 3 results. It wasn't until I watched videos and learned more about ALL types that I was able to figure our where I fit in there. Tests can be helpful, but they can also get it TOTALLY wrong.

This was so thorough but also a really good length. I'm always so pleased by how you capture each type without stereotyping too strongly. I'm a self pres 7 and most of the 7 content out there seems to be about the over the top, energetic 7s - but you manage to make me feel included when you describe 7s!
  • @hhjchen
I was going to say I'm impressed with the acting work in your content and then I saw this video and learned that you were a theatre major or you did theatre. No wonder! 😃
  • @YehudiNimol
I haven't been completely certain as to which type I am, but now I'm almost certain I'm a 4w5. It makes sense since it's the most common result I see with INFJs
  • I mostly relate to the description of both Type 1 and Type 5. Most relatable description to least relatable description. 1. 1/5 2. 6 3. 3 4. 9 5. 2 6. 8 7. 7 8. 4 For my wings I'm either 1w9 or 5w6. My tritype is 153/513
  • @allykat800
I am in tears here. Your story is so similar to mine it is absolutely astounding. I have been a theatre kid since I was 4 years old and Broadway has been the goal for as long as I can remember. My dad passed away when I was 11 years old so I have always felt that if I didn't "make it" that he would be disappointed in me and I (still) so desperately want to make him proud (even though the logical side of my brain knows he would have loved me no matter what) I have felt so terribly lost lately because I have been fighting with myself about giving up the theatre thing (the pandemic was a rude awakening as far as the theatre dreams go) and I just can't believe how called out I feel right now. Thank you for sharing these free resources and for making people feel seen ❤
  • A 20 minute Abbey Howe video? I didn't realize my Christmas present was coming early this year.
  • @JourneyLT
Finally a definition of the Eight that wasn't about them being super aggressive and your boss.
  • @lydiacodding9308
Fours do NOT envy your home, car, or anything so petty. We envy your comfort in the world, your ability to walk so freely, to love so clearly, to worry so little.
  • @hosannachild
I’m definitely not unwilling to share information. It’s actually one of my favorite things to do. Otherwise spot on. I didn’t have a whiteboard, but I did do a “where is this thing going” chat with my now husband back when we had just gone on a couple dates, lol.
  • @lkyblowfly1081
MY BRAIN IS SO HYPED!!! I LOVE personality types and how they all work, i find it very interesting and i just stinking love it.
  • My first step on my quest to learn more about Enneagrams lead me to this video. I loved that you briefly tapped on each type and additional information in a simple manner. I loved the theatrics. 🤩 I almost jumped out of my pants when I saw my nephew in there. 😀 8:15. Type 4. Literally. Playing either his viola or violin. 🤩 Ready to watch more.
  • I love your videos! I've enjoyed learning about the enneagram since high school when my parents got into it (so 20ish years ago), and I find your explanations both the most entertaining and informative. I'm 4w3 and also feel some influence from the 5. Thanks so much! :)
  • You are so adorable. This video made me smile so much. I cracked up at the scenes where you ask, "Have you heard of the Enneagram?"
  • @jbr2991
Abbey, As a relative newcomer to the Enneagram within the last year, I can honestly say that this is the best overall presentation I've seen. I'm a 1, but I think that for some weird reason God put a lot of the 5 in me as well. I love to read and research. I actually chose to do a two year long research thesis instead of taking 6 hours to complete my master's degree because I thought it would be fun. Not my wisest choice. So I have read a lot, and watched your videos, Leanne & Michelle's vidoes, several psychologist, and Christian educators regarding this topic. I just found this video tonight, and I love it. If you have time, I do have a question. Inside I have always wanted to be like a 7. Even before I knew about the Enneagram, I sometimes just wanted to do something completely spontaneous and outrageous. For example, just go to NYC for the weekend without planning anything ahead of time!!! 😲🌆 But I always reign myself in with logic. Then I noticed that at the beginning of your video, there is a diagram with a blue line going from the 1 to the 7. What does that mean?
