I like how this conductor leads his orchestra, sobre and yet efficiently. Salutations depuis Montréal.

The second movement of this concerto (in my opinion) is a dialogue between two lovers, with absolute, pure, untainted, heartful love to each other. And, this version, thanks to the conductor, filled my heart with the true joy of love.

I was about to click off this suggested video from some unknown orchestra and soloist but after hearing a few notes it sounded right and nice. The orchestra accompanied the piano excellently, melding together in unison as if like brothers. The pianist treated this composition as a piece of art, free of the annoying overboard pomposity as usually interpreted by others. There are no dynamic struggles nor timing lag between the orchestra and the piano. The orchestra is not overbearing too. It truly embellishes the piano and not just tag along. The synergy here is strong and without arrogance. Finally, Beethoven concerto #5 is played right, by both the orchestra and the pianist. Bravo !!

Thank you, thank you very much hr-Sinfonieorchester, for uploading the complete concerts, do not know how grateful I am, very few orchestras upload the complete videos to YouTube, and even rarer when it comes to top quality musicians, and this concert for me is very Special since it is my favorite, I used to believe that the Berlin Philharmonic was the best and they had no rivals, but you have changed my opinion!!

So enjoyable to hear the laser-like clarity of every note, phrase, and the connection between soloist and orchestra. This is the cleanest PC 5 I think I've ever heard from both soloist and orchestra. I really wish I could have heard it live. Many thanks to the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, Maestro Afkham, and brilliant pianist Aimard!

Best Emperor, one of the best piano performances ever heard. This is the pianist. I am so grateful we human kind have Maestro Aimard. Thank you so much for the video.

Oh I love this concerto so much. It’s so distinctly beethoven. So fulfilling❤️

I just love the artist, the orchestra and the conductor...they don't just play, they talk to each other. Total dedication.💞

Thnak you for the sharing of this beautiful piece in its entirety

Quite a sophisticated performance of this eternal masterwork without superfluous romanticism. But it is still Beethoven!

I am surprised in positive way, that Mr. Aimard, whom I know especially from XXth century repertoire, is playing Beethoven with such a deep understanding of this piece, including sound aspects of piano from the beginning of XIXth century familiar to composer himself.
