It's the next day now, and I have read all 600 comments believe it or not 😂 I'm surprised at how overwhelmingly positive everyone has been and I feel a sense of community again, it's been extremely refreshing! Also, a big thank you to all the new Patrons, I've honestly been in freaking panic mode with bills, and this helps ALOT, even if you become a free member, I appreciate every single one of you! 💚
  • Just do your own thing. For or against the status quo. If you need breaks, take them.
  • I can't believe you are actually an irl person. Always thought that you were just infused inside that computer.

The whole trend of building bigger is coming to an end, I think. We're seeing it all over the place. A lot of creators are starting to make classic let's play videos like Etho did way back when he started. We're going simple, relaxed, and laid back again! I'm loving this trend.
  • @ThaMango1
I loved this new format of video with the off-topic talks, it feels a lot more relaxed and engaging! Also the detailing on the build is insane, i can only imagine how long it took
  • I personally would love some videos that show your live building process or thoughts, maybe breaking down or showing you building some of the individual elements of your bigger projects. Would be really cool to see and hopefully add some variety for you and less effort needed :)
  • Don't care what the YouTube algorithm thinks. Do what you want to do. It's more about you and your style than what's currently trending or staying in the same niche with every video. Fans will always follow you.

I hate that the YouTube algorithm really kills creativity and variety. I’d love to see some like 2-3 part videos maybe taking a slower look at building and detailing a couple pieces to a village like one focusing on a simple creepy village and. The next on a big haunted manor on the outskirts of the village, then another on like a creepy forest or church or something. Seeing you place the interior too. Hopefully something works out where you can do what you like and not get burnt out

It's awesome to see a return to the good ol' days, the nostalgia is flooding back...
  • I think a video about how you detail builds would be nice. Maybe one that goes over your building style, how you decide on gradients, and what a building should look like. I often find myself trying to mimic some of the techniques others use like gradients, but I can never get them quite right.
  • @BlueNerdMC
I'm totally with you on the getting hooked with larger scale projects. I think with the ever growing scale of builds it's really hard to know where to draw the line. Sometimes it feels impossible to make the more relaxed paced videos because of the competition, but definitely something every creator needs to do for there own sanity. Great video and build as always buddy, I look forward to seeing more of your smaller build projects =)
  • i love the smaller, more relaxed videos! you have obviously given much thought to your situation and how minecraft build content will always funnel into bigger, crazier builds, which then lead to a burnout. And while i do enjoy these kinds of builds, it can feel exhausting. i have found to take more appreciation in the smaller, cozier builds, as they usually are more detailed. But most of all, i wouldn't want to watch someone exhaust themselves in workload, just to see bigger, more extreme minecraft creations. So let me just say, no matter what, your content is absolutely amazing and still will be, regardless of the size - as long as you don't overwork yourself :)
  • One thing the content needs: MORE bell noises. 5 bell noises a minute is not enough. I need more.
  • @Sienna6164
Here’s an idea- Maybe you can make a civilization to go along with your worlds. Including culture, mythology, traditions, etc. I tend to do that in Minecraft myself.
  • Honestly, I much prefer the "smaller" builds (which are usually still larger than anything I could build in a month). The huge megabuilds are simply impractical and in a weird way no longer even feel like Minecraft anymore at that scale.
  • @Zeplington
I agree with so much of what you said. I'm a member of a wonderful community of content creators with vastly different audiences and most of us agree that retention editing etc is getting out of hand. A lot of us have chosen to step it back a bit and adjust to less views and slower growth, instead of burning ourselves out. Keep up the great work!
  • @CDBURN
Absolutely blown away by this build, I think this smaller space has so much more room for expressive detailing which gives it so much charm. Would love to see a companion piece of an on-foot tour through the builds, especially when they're this detailed, they almost feel like living spaces.
  • @Rodiandrea
Honestly, I don't really follow you for having a bigger build in every video, but just because I like seeing what you build. I don't care if the builds are small, I just like seeing you build and get inspired
  • @Chi-np2lz
personally me, i love a story, worldbuilding, and community-centered videos. it's therapeutic.
