“John never looked at anyone the way he looked at Paul” - Cynthia Lennon
-
this must really disappoint those who think John hate Paul, Paul hate John. They were mates, always.
-
John picked Paul, Paul picked George, George picked Ringo. All of them wrote great songs. These guys could really spot talent.
-
Imagine being the feller that could honestly say; I introduced Paul McCartney to John Lennon.
-
If John was still alive, The Beatles would have definitely performed again
-
No doubt they would have done something together in the 80's
-
Had Lennon lived, there is absolutely no question he and Paul would have collaborated numerous times again, if not the entire Beatles.
-
I absolutely love the little comment he makes on Paul doing well. That he always knew Paul would do alright. The confidence John had in Paul's ability is astounding. Truly the greatest songwriting team of all time.
-
Imagine all the songs that never got written because some nut murdered him.
-
He felt so safe in New York too. Heartbreaking.

You can tell the affection John had for Paul in this interview. I also read that Lennon gave an interview on 12/8/80, he was invariably asked about Paul and Lennon said “He’s like a brother. I love him,” families — we certainly have our ups and downs and our quarrels. But at the end of the day, when it’s all said and done, I would do anything for him, and I think he would do anything for me.”

Probably the best interview I've seen so far. He was so healthy, happy, and together. He was so honest and self-actualized here. He even admitted to always being a little 'loose' and getting into trouble. You can see here he completely understands himself. What unique guy; always been a fan.

This is a lovely interview. John's comments about Paul are just stunning. Looks like they were great friends.
-
‘My friends are my friends whatever they are’ John lennon.
-
It´s so beautiful to see John being so lovely, kind and soft, and calm, talking about his soulmate, he doesn´t say bad things about Paul, or George, or Ringo, or The Beatles
-
"Me friends are me friends, whatever way" Its really nice to hear him say that for some reason. With all the tension and put downs that proceeded their break up, it feels good to know that towards the end, they got back together and remained what they always had been..."friends".

Nice to finally hear a clip where John says their differences are in the past
-
Wow! Thank you to interviewer who let's John speak and doesn't interrupt him.
-
When Lennon was calm and articulate he was the best speaker in The Beatles. This is really nice to hear John's fond memories of Paul and how they healed their differences. This is my favourite interview of John. Thanks heaps for uploading this.

You can tell John's in a great great mood here..
