His father served in the German army during WW2 and wasn’t a tyrant. His mum didn’t try to cure him of homosexuality, she asked a doctor why he had photos of bodybuilders above his bed and he said it’s totally normal and she was fine with it

Arnold Schwarzenggar was a great action hero - my favourite movies of his are - 'Commando' and 'Conan'. He was so physical and he put all other action hero actors in the shade!

I think "The Last Stand" is a wonderful Arnold Schwarzenegger film. He plays an aged (older) character in it, but he looks absolutely great. His acting is just right, and he manages to inject a bit of humor into an otherwise dark story. :face-blue-smiling:

He IS the terminator. Yes, he needs to retire. The problem is that they never introduced younger actors that could replace him. This is not to put down him, but none of us can do what we did in our youth. It always ends up hurting the person or making them look like a clown.

Arnold's Best Films were the ones in which he worked with children/teens! And if you watch "Kindergarden Cop", you'll see how much he loved working with little kids, and how much they loved him!

Just in case anybody did not know this, Arnold Schwarzenegger was not some sort of "natural" bodybuilder. He has admitted multiple times that since age 17 and for many years after he was taking anabolic steroids. We can like him as an actor. Nothing wrong with that. But don't forget that the steroids he took are extremely bad for health and also dishonest way of doping.

My dad's from Austria and my mom from Holland. I live in Holland, but have been raised bilingual. I often used to shout 'Get down, take cover' with an Austrian accent in cinema's. My friends had a blast when I did that 🤣 Never met Arnold in person, but he seems to be a likeable guy. I enjoyed most of his movies. Great documentary btw, thx for sharing.

He did not grow up poor his father was the police chief of the 2nd biggest city in Austria. Life was tough in Austria and Germany when he was young because they were recovering from WW2.

My favorite movie of Arnold’s is the Terminator movies. It’s really cool that he played a cyborg from a future and his best line in the movies is of course I’ll be back

From humble beginnings never let his European accent or long last name stop him at being a success at anything he set his mind to. Nowadays, he's involved in Netflix action films 🎞️!!
