My friend worked as a carpenter with Harrison once. They were working on a big producer's home. As they were working, he asked him if he had done any acting lately, and he replied, "Yeah, it's called "Star Wars." My friend asked him what it was about, and he said, "it's like a space opera. Check it out and tell me what you think." My friend saw it that week and was so excited about it that he had to tell Harry that night, and went to his little house in the Hollywood Hills to tell him that the movie was going to make him a star, but nobody was home. He knew Harry always kept his kitchen window open, so he crawled through it, found a piece of paper and a pen, wrote a small note, and left it on his refrigerator door. On it he wrote: "Dear Harry. Your carpentry days are over."

I love Ford's humour, and the fact that he doesn't take himself, nor the films he's starred in, too seriously.
  • @eschdaddy
Nobody ever says this, but Regarding Henry is my favorite Harrison Ford movie. There’s more feels in that movie than the rest of them combined.
  • @JurassicToys2000
Outside movie stardom, as a regular guy he seems genuinely cool.
  • @-Pol-
An old RAF buddy of mine got chatting to him at a hotel bar/lobby and Harrison graciously came over and joined him and his family at their table for a while. I think a bit of aviation talk would have been the connection!
  • @Milkman4279
I don't think he hates Star Wars, he just gets irrate with people who think he's a fan of Star Wars. He is not. If you wanted to talk about Star Wars as a film, a project he worked on, he's fine. But when you talk about it, like it really happened, he has none of it.
  • @poetcomic1
Sally Kellerman remembered Harrison Ford working on her house shirtless and said it made her late for the studio.
  • Ridley Scott did not make Ford do the voiceovers; the studio did as they meddled in Scott's film. Years later when Ridley Scott released the Director's Cut, the voiceovers were removed.
  • I've enjoyed way more of Harrison's movies than critics suggest I should. Iconic voice

Harrison Ford will always stand out for being himself. His acting is beyond reproach and there will never be another man like him.
  • @rickl.7084
As far as I’m concerned, the mummy with Brendan Fraser is Indiana Jones four. I think it was a much more interesting, supernatural force than aliens
  • @Wills-Corner
Completely misleading title! He never said he “hates” Star Wars. He’s repeatedly clarified that he didn’t like the fact Han Solo had nothing to do in Return of the Jedi and that’s why he wanted him to be killed off, “It’s not that I wanted Han Solo to die. I wanted Han Solo to be able to lend some significant emotional weight to the story.”
  • @Milkman4279
I really liked him in 'Blade Runner' and 'American Graffiti'.
  • @PopeJohnI
Not one word about Ford's all-time best performance ever--Regarding Henry.
  • harrison ford is an incredibly underrated and legendary actor. he made a character like indiana jones extremely popular while also appearing in a legendary blockbuster franchise star wars. harrison is a funny actor and unique in its own way.🙏respect to a livin legend. yall should acknowledge this eighty year old man.
  • @soulpa7ch
The voice-overs and cut scenes in this video are hilarious, when they're mismatched. My favorite one is when he talks about The Fugitive being one of the first western films to be shown in the modern PRC, but the stock footage is of Kim Jong Un.
  • @snarzetax
Ridley Scott either clearly did not understand the whole point of "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep", or did not actually read the book. It is clearly stated Deckard is NOT a replicant. It changes the point of the book, if he is.
  • @awong1000
Did the narrator intentionally mangle the pronunciation of names?
