Journey "Faithfully" Arnel and Steve duet

People need to stop trying to compare them! They are both INCREDIBLE SINGERS WITH MIRACULOUS VOICES. I grew up with Journey, loved Steve Perry, when he had to undergo surgery I cried. To have someone like Arnel come along with such an amazing voice that can bring us back to loving Journeys music the way it should be, is a Gift from God to all of us! XO

There are so many bashers here and there. They always hate and comment negatively and harshly to Arnel. Hey I'm Filipino I love Journey and I love Steve Perry. I was born late than some of you. So I thank Arnel for continuing the legacy of the band. I enjoyed the live music and concerts of the Journey, that I haven't experienced in the earlier years that I wasn't existed yet. How I wish I see SP in person, watch him sings and his band. And how dare you bash Arnel, that man is amazing singer, very humble and god sent. Every night he sings from the top of his lungs just to provide an awesome show. It's already more than 10 years now, and Arnel still the vocalist of the band. My god how cruel some of these people just comparing the two vocalists. ❤🙏

Ya'll can argue all you want, but you know damn well at the end when Steve sang, "I'm forever yours, ever yours," and he hit that one note, you got goosebumps.

I’m a big fan of Arnel, his voice is an amazing instrument and he was the best replacement for Steve Perry. But no one will ever match the tonal quality of Steve Perry. I miss that voice!

Arnel has a beautiful voice that is very much like Steve's, but the brightness of Steve Perry's voice is unique. That is his mark on the donation that God gave him.

Saw Journey live with Arnel for the first time last night. I saw a fifty year old man living a dream, with his musical heroes, whom he constantly honored the entire night, and thanked and blessed the fans as well. He loves Steve Perry, and is not there to be him. He's stated that countless times. It's because of him that we still get to enjoy Journey live. He's now been there longer than any other singer. Steve is Steve. Arnel is Arnel. Neither claims to be the other. No one can take away from the legacy of Steve Perry. You put on a Journey album, and it's Steve. He was there when these songs became monster power ballads and mega hits. They will continue to stand the test of time. Steve Perry had an amazing voice that propelled Journey to stardom. Future generations will continue to recognize Steve and Arnel's roles in the legacy of Journey. Arnel, at age fifty, is still performing the songs of Journey. He's not trying to be Steve Perry. Even Steve acknowledges this. They have each played a role in the continued legacy of Journey. Why do the silly comparisons? No one is going to sound exactly like Steve. Even Steve doesn't sound exactly like Steve anymore. Does it truly matter? There are also several other musicians that made up Journey, who continued on after Steve left the band. It's awesome that they want to continue as well. It's a band, after all, and one person doesn't make a band. Let's enjoy the talent of these musicians while we can. Attend their concerts and enjoy their life's work. I'm readily admitting I was a skeptic, but I also admit I was glad I finally attended with Arnel at the helm. I've never seen someone who loved what he was doing more than he was last night. Running down to the crowd, shaking hands, hugs, high fives and blessings. What a cool experience.

I admire Arnel's personal journey. His life story is amazing and for that alone gains much respect World Wide.

I always thought their voices were identical, but singing together they are easy to differentiate. Perry is a legend.

Without Arnel we would all be waiting for Steve Perry to come back. Arnel has kept one of the biggest Rock and Bands alive. Arnel has kept all of our dreams and childhood memories alive. Arnel knows he is not Steve Perry, but he has the passion for the music of Journey. Not only has Arnel's dreams come true, but he has kept our most favorite band fade away into history. The timber in Steve’s voice can’t be matched it was given to him by God. Thank God he was brought together with Journey to record these iconic songs. They are part of our soul and will live forever in the moments that we remember when we first heard them.

Both singers are amazingly talented. One cannot compare them, either is the other but oneself. Arnel Pineda is actually an incredible talent as is Steve.Both singers raise my pulse.

Steve Perry will always be Journey. He made Journey. He will always be my man.

Steve and Arnel are each gifted in their own ways. I thank Steve for creating such beautiful music and for Arnel carrying it into the future. Honestly, Steve Perry is my favorite singer of all time and remains so. I do love and appreciate Arnel in his own right too.

Arnel is a good singer but there will never be anyone better than Steve. Steve has a one of a kind voice that you will never forget.
