When you think about it, both Galactus and his herald were in the same season of Death Battle. Maybe Silver Surfer was trying to tell us Galactus was coming.
-
What’s also scary about Galactus, we don’t even know what he really looks like? We humans see him like the way he is, but other Alien species see him either as a giant rock monster, a giant robot, a giant lizard, a giant squid, and so forth. Also when did Rom the Space Knight did a crossover with Marvel?
-
Actually can't believe we have made it this far Alex vs Cole and Galactus vs Unicron in the same season, two episodes were it was hugely requested, this season is definitley the king of all
-
“Apparently, a gigantic man in a purple suit and an oversized helmet is the most complicated form humanity can grasp.” -TV Tropes on Galactus
-
Galactus has been turned into a punching bag barometer for new Marvel threats my entire adult life, so if he wins my mind would be blown
-
Man, Galactus' origin and purpose is such an interesting thing to delve into. Sure, everyone understands the scope of Galactus' presence. Everyone understands the threat he poses. What's at risk when he shows up. But once you find out that the origin of Galactus is the origin of the Marvel Universe itself your whole perspective on him changes.
-
An important detail, the big guy in a purple suit is simply how we humans perceive Galactus! He appears very different to other species.
-
The connections between Galactus and Unicron are that they are both colossal, planet-sized entities who devour planets to empower themselves and use heralds they bestow with power in order to find more planets (Silver Surfer and Galvatron, respectively). Both are also embodiments of primordial entities (Galactus houses the energy of the Black Winter that destroyed universes, and Unicron is a "multiversal singularity" embodying evil) with true forms that cannot be perceived by most living beings. Both also serve as fierce threats to their respective series' heroes of Earth (the Avengers and the Autobots, respectively), as well as towards other worlds (Zenn-La and Cybertron, respectively). Both their names are also alterations of cosmic locations (galaxy and universe, respectively).
-
I'm glad that at the beginning they expressed how Galactus is not truly evil by nature.
-
I expect next week's fight to be the most destructive fight Death Battle has ever made. Trillions of lifeforms will die, planets and stars will be destroyed, and the entire multiverse itself will collapse.
-
My favorite Galactus story was from What If? #34, when Thanos turned Galactus into a human being and cast him down to earth. Coincidentally, Galactus perfectly resembled Elvis Presley, and became the second coming of the singer.
-
0:27 ok that’s pretty good. Been a while since I’ve smiled at a Boomstick joke
-
My theory on how the fight starts Galactus is hovering through the area of space where Cybertron is Galactus: Hmmm... Before he went AWOL, Norrin told me this planet's occupants have primarily moved to Earth to be robots in disguise... Well, can't hurt to get some iron in my diet. Galactus comes across Unicron inspecting the ruins of Cybertron Unicron: Looking for food, are you? You won't find any here. Some petty tyrant called Frieza blew the whole place up... (mutters under his breath) Along with my intended servant. Galactus: Frieza? That little f***er... What am I going to eat now? He suddenly scans Unicron and discovers his planet-based alt mode Galactus: Right, change of plan. I'll eat you instead.
-
One thing’s for sure. This universe isn’t big enough for the both of them!
-
It's inarguable, this is the most requested episode they've ever done.
-
The most requested DB episode in history is finally here... hopefully it lives up to expectations.
-
10 seasons have built up to this. the most requested episode of the show's history.
-
Here's hoping that Unicron is given the justice he deserves in the upcoming Death battle.
-
I don't know much about Galactus, but from the way they described him, he sounds like the embodiment of the infinity stones but he has his own will.
-
After 7 years of begging for this death battle, I'm super thrilled its finally here!!!
