This is 100% a movie to watch and appreciate, the screen cap is really an injustice for this seriously genius movie. The little details and style of the movie is half of why it’s good, and that’s precisely what the screen cap style (which I actually like) removes. Just, there are some movies that this style leaves you without any real idea of how the movie IS, how it FEELS. This movie is hilarious, cool and hip, but with a very dark undertone. Also, the entire thing is essentially told as a conversation between the journalist and henchman, which the screen cap doesn’t mention, but adds to the style of the movie enormously

Moral of the story: get a friend like Raymond, be like Raymond yourself and all the problems will be solvable.

  • Basically, don’t sell drugs, kids. Just do them, like a responsible adult.

One of the most well-done films in recent memory for me. Charlie Hunnan was amazing in this one.

Finally, Guy Ritchie is back to making the kind of movie he's actually good at.

Hugh Grant and Colin Farrell were brilliant and Guy Ritchie was in a fine directing form.

You can just read the #’s rule and easily skip the description that follows. A friend of mine started selling feel goods and very quickly moved up to amounts that get attention. I provided him with three (yes only 3) rules. I explained to him that whenever people break 1 or more of the rules is when they end up in jail (if lucky) or dead!! I like that the wife basically told him the same. 1. I told him to Pay Taxes!! One of the reasons tax laws are written with some crazy long sentences is bc, back back in the day, government often cldnt get some of the BIG Fish for alcohol, drugs, murder, etc SO tax fraud, tax evasion were things they cld catch these people on. Hence, some sentence lengths that don’t make sense. 2. Don’t get greedy! There’s plenty of money for everyone. Greed can often affect judgment in horrible ways. The more dirt you do, the more people you hurt, the more enemies you have. Will those enemies hurt your friends & family? Will those enemies sell you out/ turn you in? Btw, do you even KNOW who all your enemies are? 3. ALWAYS stay vigilant. There’s the law that wants to bring you down. You got some enemies that wanna bring you down. People that wanna use you to get to others. Be aware of your surroundings and any people you’re near. Don’t get caught slipping. People will rob you or arrest you if you’re lucky but others might kill you.

Pearson does not expect to be caught by police (no police appear in or play any role in the story) - he anticipates that cannabis will be legalized, and that his business can continue legally, but only under someone with a clean record.

The baddest movie I've seen in a long time. Top marks to Guy Richie and all the actors for making a future classic.
