Still playing this game 17 years later. Gears of war is and will always be my favorite franchise.

The first Gears of War game is one the best games Epic games has ever made. This game not only was a system seller for MS but also helped sell UE3 and make put Epic on the map.

I got this game when I was 10. I am 27 now and this is still one of my favorite games all these years later.

Everyone talking about the game you can just tell how much love and passion all of them had. I really hope we get a gears of war 2 remastered or gears 6 in the next 2 years.

Just a goddamn masterfully made game. They had a clear scope and vision, the right team, they stuck to their guns and they executed. No wonder it spawned a franchise. I miss these days!

It’s crazy to see this in 2022 these we’re probably the best years of gaming I had Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 generation so much innovation, back then.

Gears Of War 1, 2, and 3 are some of the most fun I've ever had in Gaming. Especially co-op. Gears 1 reminded me of a modern Contra from The NES. I made so many friends and had soooo much fun over the years.

I love how the Characters in game look like the developers lol. This game is AAA, many games call themselves that but this one was truly one of them.

The thing that bugs me with the new ones is the fact they use so many robots on both sides of the fight. Cliffy had the right idea by only using "monsters" for the enemies it felt so much better than endless waves of shitty robot encounters. It's really too bad we don't have the same devs making the new ones, you can just tell the focus has changed and a lot of that classic gears of war feel is gone.

As much as I like how easy it is to boot up the UE nowdays, I love the original's style. Nothing beats that grittiness.

The first Gears was the first online game I ever played on my 360 when I was about 18. It was intense back then. I remember matches would make my heart pound and there would be this intense back and forth strategy that took place within each match. I had never experienced anything like that and still haven't to do this day! It was almost scary to play it was so intense. My palms would end up being all sweaty too. That's why the game is so great to me. Nothing comes close to the multiplayer of that game.

The first Gears of War game was epic but, my favorite definitely was Gears of War 3.
