BARRINGTON TOPS NSW | MINUS 2 DEGREES, WILD BRUMBIES, RAINFORESTS AND A CHANCE OF SNOW

Published 2024-05-28
Join us as we explore the beautiful Barrington Tops area, with the chance of snow we headed for the hills to have a good look around this winter wonderland of sub tropical rainforests, and the amazing wildlife, including wild hoses. After three cold and wet days camping we realised one thing, and that is we should have planned to stay longer. What an absolutely beautiful place this is and there is so much to see. We will be back!

It’s not the brumbies tearing up the turf it’s the pigs. I’ve watched them up there at night. They rip up the turf and eat the worms. They have a good sense of smell. The brumbies just eat grass and just walk through wet grounds.
  • Little Murray Campground is my favourite campground in the Barrington Tops. Relatively open flat grassy areas with a toilet. The locals (brumbies and kangaroos) always say hello.
  • Lovely lovely lovely, your videos are always so beautiful. Barrington Tops is so special and so are you guys. Cheers Marg & Steve

You've just lifted your production to a new level. Well done and kerp it coming.
  • Hi Pete from Cooma NSW here - never been to Barrington Tops, never watched you until now. Definitely heading north and definitely want to see more of your, so normal, so lovely family. Thanks
  • Another Great Video. Nice to see the family getting out into the bush and enjoying themselves. Winter is a good time for camping. Put plenty of clothes on and light a fire. Camp oven stew or a roast and veggies. Jaffle iron toasty or mash mellows on the fire. Very few flies in winter also.

I did 3 laps of Barrington tops last year in my Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van...not intentionally! Google maps got me bushed! It's a good thing I also have Hema maps (both in book form and electronic (satellite)). Barrington tops is a trap for those who don't know the area. I went in through Gloucester and after 3 laps and about 2/3rds of a tank of diesel, I found my way out...never to return! The bushland is awesome, but it's not somewhere I'd want to run out of diesel as I was the only vehicle there at that time.
  • Hope this is helpful advice. When cooking with the camp oven next time, layer some bread below all your, helps prevent burning. Works a treat.
  • Enjoy your content. It is great to see content that is not always by the ocean ❤😊

Adam looks like he needs an sts beanie for winter trips like this 😉🙋‍♂️😬

Bit of a theme to this episode. First you got complimented on having nice wood, then a visit to Cock Rock followed by a stroll through Pinus radiata 😂
  • We've just arrived home today from Polblue Barrington Tops. We live about 2 hrs from there. And it is one of our favourite camping site's. We do Banksia campsite as well. It's so beautiful there

Great video. I haven’t been up to Barrington Tops yet but it’s on the list after watching this.
  • Hi guys love your videos we’re looking at purchasing the UEV14 just wondering if you guys have done any videos on the full set up of the bat wing Annexe with the walls and what’s your thoughts on how easy it is to set up, because we can’t seem to find anything about it on youtube. Cheers Natasha
