  • The reporter wasn't supposed to be in the courthouse soliciting interviews. He-She was reminded of the courthouse policy.
  • I grew up in a DV household. It was physical twice but was mostly mental and emotional. I feared for my life many times as did one parent. The other parent played the great game with everyone. They all thought this person was a great parent and partner. Not one person knew what was happening. You have to play the game to appease the abuser. I am waiting for the defense case but I don't not believe at this point there was DV.
  • Peter, I just want to say, thank you. For not having a 20 min intro to your live streams and videos. And yes, I do just FF past the intro... or a nice short into like yours is awesome too 😃
  • My ex was so violent with me, kicked holes in doors, drove dangerously, punched holes in door next to my face, spit in my face, and blew up in a rage weekly over nothing. I only deescalated, and never retaliated for fear of broken bones, it only happened to me, and they were calm and happy toward everyone else, at work an angel. I left, but right before is when they hit my face 25 times, trapped me in my room, someone called cops, they got off me, after biting my finger till it bled, and ripping my hair out, and spitting in my face and shouted at me to leave or I was going off to jail. I still moved away a week later, then filed a police report, got restraining order, they had 52 week batterers course ordered and were reprimanded in court by judge. I honestly went through hell with police getting my report, being asked why didn't I report sooner, when statute of limitations is 5 years. If my face wasn't deeply bruised for a month, I think noone would believe me. Its so hard because just thinking of the violent reactions to going to a hearing to get the rrsttaining order is reliving the worst fear of their violence. Someone shouting, throwing things, pulling you by the hair, shoving you, accusing you daily of things, highly jealous when completely unfounded, but they flirt, cheat, ignore you is psychological threats. DV is a pattern, and this person had been doing this to their partners for 40 years, but I never would have expected it until it happened in my rel, after the first week, gtadually got worse and worse till I got out.
  • I was homeless, got into drugs, went into prisons, then i got to know Jesus, He changed my life.. Now i make 22k weekly. have a home, a wife, a lovely daughter... A child of God. THanks PETER❤

The gun that Ashley Used to defend herself is a Springfield XD in .45 ACP.. this gun does not have a manual safety that you can toggle on or off. It has a grip safety, a safety in the trigger and it has a safety that blocks the firing pin if it were to be dropped on the ground. As soon as you pick this up with a firm grip and pull the trigger it will fire instantly. There's no preparing it or getting it ready. Somebody talked about that in the live chat today and it was incorrect.
  • @ckellysmith
For cops, closer than 20 feet is a distance that justifies pulling the trigger because an assailant can close the distance so fast.

It's been a while since the Depp trial - still my go to for recaps
  • @auburn1159
they have said multiple times that eva is allowed in the courtroom because of Marcie Law
  • @ritayoung6040
I feel deeply for Eva. She obviously is intelligent and a survivor. I admire Eva.

Cohesive Control is a real abuse. When the person starts loosing control it becomes a very dangerous situation. Abuse isn't always being hit
  • My best friend for a decade was well known for being the nicest, most selfless guy anyone knew. I had never seen him angry before—until we started dating & living together in our mid/late 20s. I trusted him soooo much & yet I saw this side of him that was an angry & bitter drunk threatening to k*ll himself every other day. I had never seen this side of him for 10 years, through all his worst & best times! I had been in an abusive relationship about 5 years prior, so it not only shocked me but scared the shit out of me very quickly. and I was in my the best personal well-being of my life. that came crashing down sooo fast. I’m really glad to be done with that chapter of my life, but it grew an even bigger pit in my stomach of “you don’t truly know someone EVER.“
  • I am glad there are a lot of people have never lived in fear & actress you become to hide it from everyone. I could feel fear & she knows the triggers.

Does FL not provide lunches for the jury?? Isn’t that one of the reasons they are normally provided lunch so they do not have to go into public places during lunch when the whole gallery is also out to lunch??
  • Her Tik Tok said something about testifying on live tv with your crush watching back home.
  • @Daybreaq
I recall in some high profile cases, lunch was provided to jurors because there was an instance where it was mentioned they requested better choices or something. For whatever reasons, jurors in this case go out to get their own lunches. Maybe that was a mistake if people in restaurants near the courthouse are talking about it. It seems to me to be an easily fixable problem: allow a delivery app or just have court employees go pick up “to go” orders to bring food orders to the jurors … and of course, I’m assuming jurors are provided a room or rooms to eat lunch.

Women exiting dangerous relationships often have to "play house" to keep safe as they exit.
