So after watching these modern Asian short dramas, I’ve realized they haven’t changed from the old. Fathers are still spineless, step mothers and sisters are still evil, boyfriends also are spineless. I guess they haven’t learned from history. I guess these are the only plots they can come up with. 🤨 guess that’s what happens when you don’t have free thinking people, everyone just follows everyone else and no one can think on their own.

I’m finding myself rewinding a couple of times to read the subtitles and then to watch the actors. I love this series … the intrigue, the power plays, the plot. Of course the set design, costumes, music is fabulous … the actors are gorgeous & magnetic & talented. I’m getting lost though after the second video & don’t know which one is next in the series. Numbering the episodes would be helping. Legend of Haolan is captivating, it has taken me captive.

It feels like half the cast are the same from Story of Yunxi Palace 😂 The guy with the FL was the emperor in that I’m sure, took me a while to place him because I’m not used to seeing him having so much hair lol
