The fact that the seller's mate was willing to take £500 for it suggests he knows it was rolling scrap.

Taylor brings up a good point actually. You guys should do an "Industrial/agricultural equipment" challenge where you all have to get like a tractor or snowplow or whatever, as cheap as you can(that still runs, mostly) but then subject it to all the usual cheap-car challenges such as practricality as a car, including transporting other people and goods, acceleration/braking, track challenge, etc. You would need dedicated private property to test this obviously because I doubt they would be road legal. People could get like bobcat tractors, diggers, etc but they could also get a dump truck if they find one in budget which could hold a dozen people and kill the transport goods portion of the challenge but would probably be shit on a track/handling tests.

Taylor is such a natural in front of camera, I can't believe he's only been doing this for about a year

Today my £3000 Volvo V70 brought from Birmingham was taken away to a scrap yard and I got £432 for it. Moral of my story? DON’T BUY A F@&KING CAR FROM BIRMINGHAM!!!!!!!!

Taylor really knows his stuff, and it shows. What a great knowledge that he has. Fair play.
  • @GooseWaffe
Love watching taylor's brain tick when he's diagnosing what's wrong with the car.
  • @ianberry1713
I’ve never seen Taylor move so fast avoiding the crap coming through the window 😂😂

This really does sell CarVertical better than any other 30 second ad. Well done lads!

Since you decided to start AutoAlex, this has been my favourite YouTube channel to watch. Podcasts get me through my dreary long drives to work and I just can’t get enough of any of it! The way you and Taylor bounce off eachother has me in stitches every time!! 🤣 keep up the great work, I love it!

12:00 fun story, my mum once had a modus with xenon lights that went out. Renault literally told us they never made such lights in a modus and thus there was no way to replace them. Had to figure out how to get something from poland to even fix it.

Who knew consumer advice could be so much fun! 😂🤣😂 Also, I am happy to report to Taylor that Renault did their homework on the Modus, when doing the face-lift; when the updated version was released in 2008, they made sure it was possible for people with normal hands and not just tentacle-fingered individuals to change headlight bulbs. Having owned the first generation and now owning the face-lift, I got a bit worried when one of the bulbs died, but when I checked it was super easy to change on the newer version. A lot of room and close to reach - could not be easier (unless it worked like on that crappy Volvo). The Renault Scenic II I used to own was far worse, damn near impossible - especially on the left side where the battery was in the way. But did that stop me? No way! A few bruises and a lot of bad language and spurred on by my can-do attitude, I saved my self from leaving it to the dealer service to do it for me. But I loved that car so much, so I could not hate it for minor things like that - the rest was brilliant.

Taylor is like that uncle that is fun and hilarious naturally without trying but also knows some seriously useful information about anything you could ask car and driving related. Top man! 🎉😂
  • I bought a cheap crashed motorbike last year. I have ended up spending more on it than one in decent condition, but I have had the most fun working on it and riding it places it was never designed to be ridden! It is so awesome and simultaneously so sh*t 😅
  • @123ghostwarrior
Genuinely the hardest i've laughed in ages at the end! It takes real talent to mix hilarious entertainment with a proper message. The three of you are absolutely amazing!
  • @dylanwakley2553
