Nice vid. Tried a bow drill for fist time about a month ago and after what seemed forever, sweating my ass off and feeling like I had arm wrestled 50 people, i through the biggest childish fit…anywho, gonna try your method this weekend. Thanks!!

A couple more advantages I can see are that you don't need an extra board to catch the ember, and that the ember is better contained. I'll definitely give this method a go. Thanks

Bro that 2 hole method no notches is ember in the hole or on the tip of the spindle

Isn't it easier to tie two sticks together instead of making a hole in one stick for the fireboard? The ember will fall through the crack them between into the bundle.
