For anybody who may be new to Smash: the Final Smash attacks don't do too much on targets who are at 0 damage - the point is not to be knocked off the edge of the screen, and the more damage you've taken, the farther you generally fly when hit.
  • @konajohnson6182
As someone who has puts almost 2000 hours into the game, I am so happy to see you guys react to this. Super Smash Bros is an awesome series, by far one of my favorite gaming series ever.
  • @Raddkann
Having played many, many hours of Persona 5, Joker’s Final Smash is my favorite.
  • The character at 6:45 is known as Bayonetta! It’s a very similar style of game to Devil May Cry and I would love to see you guy reacting to her game’s trailers or all of her Demon Finishers! She’s my all time favorite video game character and I’m sure you two would get a kick out of her
  • @JasonRogue
Bayonetta is a great game, made by the same people that made Devil May Cry, which is turn was made by the same people that made Resident Evil. Originally Dante was Tony Redgrave who was going to be the main protagonist for Re4, the best Resident Evil behind Re8. Dante also appears as a outfit for the Miis in this game. Not every character is Nintendo, but along the years Sakurai, the main man for this series was asked many times to add 3rd party protagonists in this game. Sora was the highest requested character back in 2014 and has finally made his debut 7 years later. I main mostly mostly sword characters as I've always loved fantasy and magic, but Sora is my main for this game, he's so fun to play as. Also a lot of the Final Smashes are short because it doesn't interrupt the fights. A lot of characters are just "skins" to say but have different changes to the original fighter. Ken is a reskin of Ryu, except Ken doesn't hit like a truck compared to Ryu. Samus is more volatile while Dark Samus is more energy based. Also Ness and Lucas are from Mother (Japan)/Earthbound series, another game you should check out as it more than an 8-bit RPG adventure.
  • Peach & Daisy's Final smashes are honestly one of the best in the game though. They can make the opponent fall asleep in the air which is an intant KO off stage. Even on the ground, you can still hit the opponent with their combos, and you can heal around 35 - 45% of health back too
  • @Sekiria23
1:54 - That is Steve from the game Minecraft. He's one of two playable characters (the other being Alex). The Final Smash itself is a reference to being unexpectedly blown up by a bunch of Creepers when you least expect it...especially in a room full of TNT!
  • As a preteen, playing Brawl helped open my eyes to a lot of new games and just the fighting game genre as a whole. Glad to see Ultimate's getting some love.
  • @DapperMudkip
R.O.B. stands for robotic operating buddy. He was an old toy accessory you’d plug into your old Nintendo and he could do special things with certain games. Video games almost fell off in the 80’s in America, and ROB is credited with helping bring it back into the mainstream!
  • @HB-fq9nn
This playlist was not only out of order (just a gripe on my end), but it skipped Cloud’s second Final Smash. Also, Steve is from Minecraft.
  • @SamuelTheAdept
I love how they’re impressed by Byleth’s final smash, their sword whip of the creator is cool.
  • @hellghost59
Sora joining smash had the smash community in tears! When I saw the trailer I was just more stunned at the fact Disney actually agreed to let Sora in.
  • @Arksimon2k
This was fun. I feel like you would get a kick out of watching al lthe reveal trailers (at least since brawl). You can probably find a full compilation somewhere. They're incredibly well made as they are, but the fun is in guessing who the trailer is going to be for.
  • @thepixelman4776
Huh. So for whatever reason there’s some things the video leaves out. Most notably that Cloud actually has another final smash with a different one of his costumes. And also some of these would’ve really benifitted from the moves actually killing, especially for Ryu and Ken. Not saying to record just those though, this reactions still good.👍 If you wanted recommendations for other smash things to react to….. maybe all the trailers? That might be good. Maybe Taunts or victory animations if you really want, but those would be a bit long so idk. Anyway nice video guys! 😀

Some context for each character in the roster, a lot of these are pretty obvious - but the third-party fighters are a nice addition to Super Smash Bros. I’ll try and keep them in order of franchise, the nameplates on the characters themselves should serve to better find then. That and on the original video the timestamps are already given. Also, minor spoilers for certain characters. You’ve been warned fellow commenters. Mario: The hero we all know and love, mascot of Nintendo first airing in Super Mario Bros. We love him, and we all know him. Yoshi: Mario’s trusty firebreathing dinosaur, he helps us over gaps and jumps super high. Dr Mario: The protagonist of the popular spinoff Dr. Mario. It’s basically Tetris m, but with science! Luigi: Mario’s trusted brother - he’s had his own adventures with Luigi’s mansion - fighting ghosts and saving his home. A bit shy and easily scared compared to his brother, but still a faithful ally. Donkey Kong: Mario’s arch-nemesis turned hero with his own game: Donkey Kong Country. DK is his own character now. Diddy Kong: DK’s trusty sidekick, armed with bananas, a jet pack, and a peanut gun. King K. Rool: The antagonist of Donkey Kong, K. Rool is a crocodile with a knack for getting in DK’s bad side. Princess Peach: One of the biggest mascots for women in gaming, except now she’s no samosa in distress. Princess Daisy: Getting just as much recognition as Peach herself, Daisy first appeared in Super Mario Land as another princess for the brothers to rescue from Bowser's clutches. Bowser: The big bad turtle dinosaur himself, we’ve been kicking him into lava since the beginning in Super Mario Bros. Bowser Jr: Bowser’s child, he and all of his siblings are pliable characters this time around. Roselina and Luma: First appearing in Super Mario Galaxy, she resides in a massive comet star starship where she watches over the star-like creatures called Luma. Here they assist in combat, they fight as a pair. Piranha Plant: Those annoying plants that constantly bite at you during speed runs, this popular Mario enemy is now his own fighter. Link: The wielder of the Triforce of Courage, Link has been reincarnated as a hero for generations in the Legend of Zelda universe. Here is his most recent iteration: Link from Breath do the Wild. He seeks to stop a calamity ready to wipe his home of Hyrule from existence. Young Link: A younger hero from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - this hero seeks to prevent Hyrule’s destruction at the hands of a mad tyrant. Shiek: A disguise worn by princess Zelda during Ocarina of Time. She assist an older Young Link in stopping the tyrant. Zelda: Zelda’s true form, this is what she typically looks like. Much like Link she wields a piece of the Triforce, the Triforce of Wisdom. She’s often an exceedingly adept mage of sorts. Ganondorf: Remember the tyrant I mentioned above? It’s Ganandorf. Much like Link and Zelda he is doomed to be reincarnated forever, always trying to rule Hyrule. He wields the last piece of the Triforce: the Triforce of Power. Samus Aran: The best bounty Hunter in the universe, Samus Aran was orphaned at a young age. With her Varja Suit she single handedly ended the Metroid infestation and has become renown for her skills. Zero Suit Samus: Samus without her Varja suit, she’s just as adept in combat without the heavy armor and arm cannon. Dark Samus: The result of an alien radioactive substance duplicating her DNA, Dark Samus sought to kill the original in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. Ridley: The terrifying leader of a clan of space pirates, Ridley murdered Samus’ parents and left her orphaned. Despite being killed off multiple times, he always manages to come back as a clone or cyborg. Kirby: The protector of Planet Popstar, the infant Star warrior Kirby is capable of copying any fighter's powers just by eating them. King Dedede: The self-proclaimed king of Popstar, King Dedede serves as both an antagonist and anti-hero for Kirby, either fighting him or helping out where he can. Meta Knight: A rival for Kirby, Meta Knight originally sought war with Popstar’s inhabitants for being too lazy. Eventually Kirby got him over to the good side. He now helps protect the planet when he can, preferring his quiet and books. Also he looks exactly like Kirby under his mask, except he’s a deep indigo with yellow eyes. Fox: The leader of the space battalion Star Fox, fox protects his Galaxy from threats as needed. Falco: A vital member of Fox’s crew, Falco is a hot-headed falcon with a love for showing off. Wolf: The rival to Star Fox, Wolf leads his own team throughout the galaxy - battling Star Fox whenever they encounter. Pikachu: The mascot of the Pokémon franchise, Pikachu is our lovable Mouse Pokémon. Pichu: The pre-evolved form of Pikachu or Little Mouse Pokémon, Pichu often hurts itself trying to use its electric powers before it’s evolved. Jigglypuff: The Balloon Pokémon, jigglypuff often causes people to fall asleep with their singing. Mewtwo: The Genetic Pokémon, a clone of the Pokémon Mew. A hyper intelligent creature capable of controlling objects with its mind. Lucario: The Aura Pokémon, Lucario can generate a force called aura to empower its physical strokes. He can even shoot it off like a Dragon Ball Z attack. Pokémon Trainer (A.K.A Charizard, Ivysaur, and Squirtle): The protagonist of Pokémon Red, Pokémon trainer fights his battles with his team do Charizard, Ivysaur, and Squirtle: the Flame, Seed, and Tiny Turtle Pokémon respectively. Greninja: The Ninja Pokémon, It’s long tongue acts as a ninja scarf. It throws shuriken made of solidified water and can vanish in a puff of smoke. Incineroar: The Heel Pokémon, Incineroar fights using a variety of wrestling moves. He’s stylized after them after all, and he loves to put on a show for the crowd. Ness: First appearing in Earthbound (or Mother 1 in Japan) Ness enjoyed playoff baseball and has psychokinetic powers or PSI as it’s known in game. Lucas: The protagonist of Mother 3, he shares the same PSI powers as Ness. Captain Falcon: The star racer of the F-Zero franchise, he races in his signature Blue Falcon. His move set was actually completely original, and not based off of his own game. The Falcon Punch, Falcon Kick and Knee of Justice have become mainstays for his characters in Smash. Ice Climbers: Siblings Popo and Nana from the titular Ice Climber game. They climb mountains of ice, nuff-said. Marth: The protagonist of the turn-based JRPG Fire Emblem, he fights with his signature Falchion and rules his kingdom with grace and honor. Lucina: A main character of the 3DS title Fire Emblem: Awakening - she is a time traveler sent from the future to prevent a dangerous calamity. Roy: The protagonist of Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade - his flaming sword and three armies at his disposal makes him a worthy adversary and addition to Smash. Chrom: The second main character of Fire Emblem: Awakening - he is prince of the Kingdom Yileese and father of Lucina. Robin: The player created Avatar of Fire Emblem Awakening, Robin can be male or female depending on the choice of the player. A master tactician and expert with magic and swords. Corrin: The player created avatar of Fire Emblem: Fates - Corrin is a dragon shifter and can be male or female. Forced to choose between their birth family and adopted family, they struggle to see who they should side with as their families go to war. Byleth: The player created avatar of Fire Emblem: Three houses. A professor and militant that chooses between three royal houses to not only teach, but lead into combat.

Since melee's 20th anniversary is 2 days away, y'all should check the trailers for all the smash series
  • @dvader518
There was one Final Smash missing: Cloud’s alternate costume one (Omnislash Ver. 5).
  • A Yoshi army is something I have always needed, but didn’t know I needed until now.
  • @Tazkar
Ridley is my favorite, been my favorite Boss ever since I played Super Metroid back in the day. He's definitely iconic being Samus's Nemesis.
  • @sniperdubey
Something that'd be fun to see you react to would be the How It Feels To Play * series by LazyPurple. It's about how it feels to play each of the nine classes (well, eight at the moment but the HIFTP Medic one is on the way). If you're going to do them, I recommend doing it as a bit of a series and try to do them in the order of release as they have a form of continuity. I'd also recommend watching the outtakes videos as they're extremely high quality as well and generally act as a second episode of the Hiftp episode. It's one of the highest quality pieces of TF2 content ever released. - How it feels to play Spy - How it feels to play Scout - How it feels to play Heavy - How it feels to play Soldier - How it feels to play Engineer - How it feels to suffer in SFM - How it feels to play Sniper - Extras from 'How it feels to play Sniper' - How it feels to play Pyro - Extras from 'How it feels to play Pyro' - How it feels to play Demo - Extras from 'How it feels to play Demoman' Hopefully soon - How it feels to play Medic Some people will tell you he doesn't like people reacting to this stuff. This used to be the case when he was suffering from crippling anxiety as he couldn't bear watching people see his "flawed" work (even though it's nigh perfect). He's spent the last two years getting therapy for this and he no longer cares about people reacting to his stuff. Another great one to see you react to would be 'The Most Fashionable Faction in TF2' song and the rest of Stupendiums stuff in general. He has a ton of really great songs.
