I think you missed one of the most important aspects. Rocket League got its initial player base due to be the free PS+ game for a month when it released

11:14 I guess my name is Andreas Bakkes now 🤣 Also I didn't make BakkesMod, I mostly just made plugins and a couple minor tweaks to the core mod. Bakkes (not sure where Andreas came from, it's just "Bakkes" and he's not from Norway) made the bulk of the mod. Great dig through history though, really cool to see a quick overview of how much this game has evolved over time! It's a fun trip down memory lane, so thank you for making it

Man this is such a throwback, I remember watching NeatMike and the boys in 2015 and 2016, I was so into rocket league but my PC wasn't good enough to run it lol
