The Spider-Verse timeline is one of the most daunting challenges I've ever come across while creating videos, but one of the most rewarding. Sit back, relax, and enjoy how we've come to discover how the Spider-Verse is connected to the MCU.

Hi guys! I hope you enjoy the video! If you do, please consider sharing this around online. Long live the timeline! 😊

So what you’re saying is that Across the Spider-Verse is so good that it made Morbius make sense. 💀

Two other examples of sliding timelines in audio/visual that you might find interesting: 1) The Venture Bros. Despite debuting in 2003, the show is always set in the present day. Over the show’s 20-year run, only ~3 years pass in-universe. 2) The Simpsons. This is a wild example simply because the show has been on for nearly 40 years. Homer has gone from being 39 in the 90’s to being in college in the 90’s to now being a tween in the 90’s.

It sure is intriguing that Spider-People are seemingly the most important figures in the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse.

I also noticed that they pushed ITSV into 2021. Even tho that movie & Venom 1 both say that it takes place in 2018. So it didn’t make sense. But your explanation of the sliding timeline cleared that up for me. Great video & great explanation.

Wouldn’t expect anything less from you man, you delivered HARD on this! I never even CONSIDERED the sliding timeline, mindblowing!!

I would love to see a Spider-Man vs. The Sinister 6 movie where each member is from a different universe & their goal is to wipe out every Spider-Man across the Spider-Verse (similar to the finale of the Spider-Man 1994 series). The only way to stop The Sinister 6 would be 12 Spider-Men from across the Spider-Verse teaming up to stop them. The 12 would be Toby, Andrew, Tom, Miles, Peter B., Gwen, Noir, Peni, Ham, Pavitr, Hobie, & Margo. We could finally get some of these characters in live action, & we could see different art styles used for Toby, Andrew, & Tom.

I've followed your channel on YouTube and Twitter and this is by far the best uploaded so far, alongside the MCU ones. Can't wait for the entire Marvel Multiverse timeline with FOX, MCU, Sony & animation franchises.
  • You should also add other timelines into your timeline that are apart of the Spider Verse like the PlayStation games, Spectacular Spider-Man, and the classic series to name a few spider verse cameos.

Another thing to note in the timeline is that all the spider people stories have nexus and canon events that actually happen before ATS. The first one is most probably when Peter of E1610 gets zapped by the collider and creates all the variants of Spider-Man. The others include, Venom getting dragged into the MCU, Miles getting bit, Gwen escaping from E65, Miles saving Inspector Sign (have no idea if I spelt it right), Strange messing with the spell with poor communication skills to Peter, Peter two and three getting dragged into the MCU and Miles of E42 becoming the Prowler. Another thing to consider and would make a theory video on, is Miguel O’Hara, Kang the Conqueror.

Amazing video! Hopefully the timeline change could be cleared up with Beyond the Spider-Verse

More brilliant work Dakota! Finally became a patreon so I could get the updated timeline png...sorry it took so long!
  • Theory: The Spider Society has to do with the participation of the two multiversal Spider-Men and it is not Dr. Strange's spell that does it.

I can't wait to see the next MCU Timeline it's gonna be crazy with all the Netflix shows and X-Men movies confirmed as canon.

5:52 - Pavitr has a "Diwali 2016" poster in her room. Plus, during the battle there is a banner with a QR code. It's definitely 21st century.
  • @fesper-s
Perfect! I love your timeline videos :)
  • @Andres_was_here
Fantastic video!! Kept me intrigued the entire time! Loved the amount of work put into finding every small detail and coming up with a very valid explanation as to how the timeline retcons work. Definitely one of your best!! One question though, at the end with the timeline graphic and the MCUs timeline being 1 year ahead, would it make more sense to (in a chronological rewatch scenario) to watch it with the 2 timelines as if they were matched up (as in ATSV before Endgame) or as it's laid out here, with ATSV fitting right between Shang-Chi and TFATWS?
  • @gustavolobo2001
Damn, what a good video. Really detailed and informative! Thank you very much!

Phenomenal job bro!!! I didn't even think of the fact that the Spider-Verse films (at least in Miles' Universe) are experiencing a sliding time like the actual comics in the Marvel Universe and given how those films actually do try and be a COMIC BOOK in film form so sliding timeline actually make perfect sense (even if the concept is the most comic book thing to ever exist 🤣) and I love your MCU connection theory because it makes sense and it is a much better way to connect the two films franchises into one Multiverse and I believe that's the intention of the Spider-Verse filmmakers too which is clear thanks to the branches from Loki. Once again amazing work bro!
