In this tutorial we'll be doing sound design on a mechanical swan animation! We'll get our sound effects from Soundly, and we'll be using Davinci Resolve to layer, edit and put together the audio.

Polyfjord never disappoints with the quality of his work.
  • Great video sharing insight on a very overlooked topic in 3D design! Your artworks always have inspiring visuals and sounds. Thanks for sharing!
  • Bro you killed it with this soundly collab. They’re awesome for expanding the promo and offering the sound pack. You guys just made it even easier for all of us. Soundly has improved my sound design workflow ever since you introduced me to it. Thanks for the quality content as always!

After all the Blender help, this is so weird, I've just got into video editing on DaVinci Resolve and finding sound clips/doing sound design is the hardest part. Never fails to inspire and educate this man!

This dropped perfectly with a school assignment I'm delivering this sunday. Soundly is far superior than random websites I've used untill now. Tusen takk!
  • I cannot thank you enough for this tutorial. I loved your first sound design video but I always wanted to dive into more advanced and complex sound design. Now with this video I can! Thanks Polyjford.👍.And thanks for the code, it will be very useful.
  • I have used sondly since your sphere sound design video and this is one of my most loved tools, thank you for the suggestion and promo code ;)
  • im just excited to see that you made a little tank rather than a creature - as you've seen from my creations, they're mostly vehicles of sorts so you know i love this 😍😍

Animated shorts have always been my favorite thing as a child. Although I'm not experienced with animation or sound design, maybe I'll get into it sometime!
  • @Schramena
High quality explanation as always! Thank you!

I've been using soundly after your sound design video from a year ago. Removes so much of the friction in the workflow, and it works directly in the composting workspace in Blender!

remembered you introducing soundly back in the day and now seeing you have packs made for your videos .... very well deserved polyfjord!
  • Thank you for sharing the process. I think my favorite aspect was watching another artist's creative decision making as the project evolves.
