A natural edge bowl of Cherry designed to look like it is floating above the table! Enjoy!

  • Okay! I was wrong about the phrase! It was "Good Golly, Will you look at the time?" And yes, I have said Good Golly before!
  • Great looking Piece Clayton, wasn't sure the feed and wax was gonna work after you said you put paste wax on it first. that's what I get for thinking
  • Very attractive bowl, beautiful grain. Enjoyed watching the transformation from Big hunk of wood to beautiful bowl.

I am also a newbie. I received my lathe for my 55th birthday February 2023 is now August 2024 and still learning bunches. This is a very fun activity for me also. From what I see you are doing excellent work and I do plan to keep watching. Thank you for taking time to share.
  • That's a pretty bowl, Clayton and yes, indeed, I do believe it looks like it floats! Very good.

Nice keel and lots of ballast, ready for rough and rocky seas! great job!
  • LOVE to see the process behind your work! even better i got to see this FLOATING bowl in person
  • I like the shape. Very attractive with cracks and all. However, Howard's is written up as non food safe finish and it dulls over time. Of course it can be refreshed. Often. If you have a local turning club I suggest you join it. I learned so much from that.
  • Very satisfying to see the whole process, love the Charlie Brown music too Calyton!❤

Whatch Phil Anderson with Shady acres wood shop. he has a very unique way of taking those tendons off that once you learn is actually pretty easy and fun to do. He is also very good teacher simply because he explained as he goes. And another one is Papa 1947. He is also great to watch and listen to.
