RE-UPLOADED BECAUSE ORIGINAL VIDEO WAS DEMONETIZED! Every F-bomb has been deleted out. Also since I had another chance at uploading, decided to change the title to something more simple so it's not just about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet... 0:00 Intro 1:27 Part 1: Unacceptable Glitches 3:27 Part 2: Unacceptable Graphics 5:36 Part 3: Pokemon’s Greatest Problem 7:41 Part 4: History of Pokemon’s Rushing 10:48 Part 5: Hisui and Paldea, Everywhere at Once 13:01 Part 6: Comparison With Other Franchises 16:12 Conclusion
  • I'm just tired of this franchise having turned into a huge "What If...?".
  • @sonicjhiq
Pokémon needs longer development time, at the very least 4 years per generation, the 30th anniversary is in 2026 so if there's any time for a 4 year development, it's now!
  • Even more evidence with Larry. He's forced to work as both a Gym Leader and Elite 4 member. Just like how the Game Freak staff were forced to work on both games simultaneously. If you really want to stretch things, you could say Geeta (His Boss)'s battle being underwhelming and nonsensical (Why wouldn't you lead Glimmora?) Is an analogy for The Pokemon Company and their release schedule being the cause for underwhelming games. Personally, I do think TPC is the root of the problem and have noticed the decline in quality since the transition to 3D. However, I do think it's important to note that Game Freak chooses to keep their studio small and instead of hiring more developers, chose to outsource BDSP to ILCA to deal with crunch. I still think TPC is the problem, but if so, Game Freak should find a way to work within those parameters to prevent games like this from happening. Anyways, great video. Glad that people are finally recognizing TPC as the real problem here.
  • Giurem Red : STOP WITH THE ANUAL RELEASES! Pokemon Company : 3 games per year you say?
  • @X3nophiliac
ABOUT LARRY 12:40 they actually have optional dialogue after becoming champion where he overworks HIMSELF and the champion wants him to take time off work but refuses. Pokemon teams cry for help was silenced 😆

Another point about the annual releases before the 3D-era: most games were released annually, but there was ALWAYS a third game that would just take the game that was done before (GS, RS, DP) and expand on it (Crystal, Emerald, Platinum). When we actually had a new story (BW2), the games were two years apart, because they were working on everything that needed to be new on top of copying and pasting everything BW had already done before. Nowadays, every new release is a brand new release (except for USUM), of course it's gonna be bad! It's not enough time!
  • I said the exact same thing you said in your video and I tried to say this in the Pokemon Subreddit but man I got brutally attacked. Pokemon Fans are so toxic that they will defend broken games like SV. Its really sad.
  • @compatriot852
Pokemon used to be a series that constantly was evolving and getting better. Now it's an ugly buggy mess that jumps in quality all over the place all because of its rushed deadlines and Gamefreak's refusal to expand to meet the demand
  • @AsianRailgun
You make some very important points for the Pokemon franchise going forward. Let's hope this video doesn't get demonetized again.
  • @henrydrago
Annual releases always make the games worse, Ubisoft is learning this by the worse way. "A delayed game eventually is good, but a bad game will sell 10 millions copies in 3 days" Shigeru Miyamotoish
  • @SniperKing-O
At this point in the franchise, do we even need basically two of the same game? Why not just give us a Pokemon Emerald and Platinum type games and call it a day. And if Gamefreak wants to continue the game in the same region, then pull a Black and White 2 and there you have it! Simple. Plus it'd waste less money and give the devs more time to work on other new Pokemon games instead of just making the same game twice, but with slightly different changes to them.
  • I noticed how you said Pokemon BECAME a soulless brand and that’s good to keep in mind. There’s a difference between “became” and “always”. The change in management came through the success of Pokemon. Makes sense, when you think about it. Naturally, the goal of any business should be maximizing profit. But, let’s not pretend that maximizing profits should come at the dignity or reputation of the brand or the employees.
  • All Pokémon fans will feel relief every time a Direct goes by without announcing a new mainline game
  • @kurigaru
Also I feel really bad for all those employed over at GF. Why they don’t expand their workforce is beyond me, it’s giving Amazon with the way they’re treated
  • Y'know whenever I think of modern pokemon and with every new entry into the series, plus with The Pokemon Company/Game Freak's cheapness and how much they love to cut corners, all I'm reminded of is Arlo's quote from his Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Review. It perfectly encapsulates all my issues with modern pokemon as a whole. "I'm not going to give it credit for being at least as fun as any other Pokemon game, because how far can that excuse go? How far can they push this cheapness? How many corners can they cut? How far down can they trim the production process before even that core formula stops being enough? Because it feels like there's no end to this. I thought we had already reached the bottom, but Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are down at a whole new level."

I watched the original but I think I'll rewatch it to help with the views and audience retention
