How do you release the javelin? I explain how to release the javelin off the fingers, the grip and the orbit of your shoulders, arm and hand.

Thank you Jordan Hatfield, from Corban University, for the question!

Love how you explain how the grip relese influences the rotation and therefore the flight of the javalin. I've never put those two together and that seems so fundamental. TX

  • Thanks for the shoutout and the video! I’ll pass it on the athletes
  • What about the elbow movement? I've seen some throwers drive up and release behind the block leg. Also I hope you follow up on the pronation portion of this because I heard it protects your elbow.
  • Respected sir can you please tell me about the different range javelins how they impact your performances like they range from 60 to 100 meters so please tell me about them too and how to start as a rookie thrower

How does a fork grip apply to the rotation of the javelin? I see how the javelin rotates with the american or finnish grip but how about the fork grip? Also, if it doesn't rotate with a fork grip should you use a lower rated javelin? I throw about 50 meters but have a 70 meter jav. Thanks!
