This time on Chopstick Travel I’m taking my brother, Ryan, and sister in law, Kaylee, for an unforgettable trip across Turkey. A full fledged food road trip to taste the flavours of Turkey. To kick off part 1 of our new series Ryan, Kaylee and I are tasting the iconic etli ekmek, in the lesser known Turkish city of Konya.

Stay tuned for part 2 of our road trip series when we head south for some of Turkey’s best seafood before I take Ryan and Kaylee to the city of Bursa to taste a kebab they’ll never forget!

Luke, have you thought of contacting Refika, the famous Turkish Chef, Cookbook writer and YouTuber while you're there? She has a fabulous YouTube channel and she is a wonderful and very hospitable person. She's my go-to person on any aspect of Turkish cooking, classic and modern and she has made videos with YouTubers from all over. She's based in Istanbul with her team and she makes Turkish and English videos. She also has a whole slew of wonderful Turkish produce and equipment at Etsy. Think about reaching out to her while in Istanbul as she is a wonderful, friendly and very knowledgable person and IMO well worth going to Turkey to meet. Check out her details on YouTube.

This is a great new video! But I will also say that I agree with his recommendation of Rosetta Stone!! I am learning Japanese and completing more of my knowledge of Spanish with these lessons. If you get the lifetime program with the discount that he offers, (Which is what I did) then the price will include a lifetime access to not only the language you want to learn but every other language in their system! So get it and learn everything that you want!
