Neal Schon is just an incredible guitarist, song writer, and musician. Just amazing! One of the absolute best.

In case you haven't, do yourself a favour and listen to the first 3 Journey albums. They're in a league completely of their own. Progressive psychedelic masterpieces! Neal Schon and Gregg Rolie together was something truly special.

I remember being holed up in my bedroom wearing out a cassette tape learning the outro solo of 'Stone in Love'.
  • No auto tune, no computers, just talented musicians. Modern people watch listen and learn.

It was great to hear Neal say nice things about Steve Perry. Time heals all wounds.

These guys are brothers from another mother. They act like they grew up together. Two of the best hard working musicians around. I still love that HSAS album they did. Great shit!

Lot of great guitar players, but few have a sense of melody like Neal does. The man is special.

I wouldn't have expected them to cover Depeche Mode, but I'm so glad that they did. That was great!

Neal schon 🔥👍🏼 the reason why im super addicted to journey .
  • Had the pleasure of seeing Journey in 81. Personally, I’d like to see Perry play with the original members once more. Just once more fellas.

Whenever the greatest guitar players are talked about no one mentions Neal Schon. I think it's because of his humbleness. When you listen to Journey you can tell that his solos were meant to fit within the song rather than eclipse it. Schon restrains himself for the good of the song. He won't "show off" his skills if it doesn't fit the melody and tone of the song.

Two people play music that goes together very well. To this day, I still watch a throwback clip from 1983 called HSAS.

Back in the early 90's i saw Van Hagar in Dallas. There was a specific part of the show where Eddie would play a riff and Sammy would sing the riff. If you think what you hear on Sammy's records is amazing. You should have heard what was coming out of this man's lungs when he and Eddie were trading licks...i can't even explain it. only someone else who was there would truly know what i'm talking about. QUITE INCREDIBLE!
  • Warms the soul to hear that he wants to work with Steve Perry soon! They co-wrote some timeless stuff together! Can't wait!!!
