My grandfather had an apartment like that in New York too. He rented it in 1930 and stayed there for 50 years at least. It was rent controlled so in 1980 he was only paying $75 a month. He traveled the world on all of his vacations with all the money he saved by having a modest place.

My grandma always said; “a bed and box of your own, is better than a castle of somebody else’s.” This is a nice little living space.
  • As long as you’re not on the street , you’re warm , happy that’s all that matter, you have your own space . ♥️🙏🏾
  • Everyone deserves a space of their own, a place to contemplate, a place to rest and a place to grow. You've built a beautiful one!
  • I'm from Texas... so the idea of spending 1100 a month on a apartment this tiny is absolutely mind boggling.... HOWEVER, what you've done with such a tiny amount of space is incredible. It has the essentials and you have a safe space to sleep. It's your home, and you should be proud. It looks fantastic!
  • It's not "just" a tiny apartment. You've described it as a home with a heartbeat. Kudos to u. It's lovely

Wow, what a nice young man who’s so positive about life and what you make of it. He seems happier in his 95 sq ft than some people I know in 3500 sq ft. It’s all about your happiness and love of life. We need more like him!

He made the most out of his room and put a lot of thought and love into his furnishings and dekoration. As tiny as it is, it' a cosy space for peace of mind. So much better than sharing a bigger appartment with one or multiple room mates for sure. He is a lovely guy with great style and a lot of positivity.
  • I like the attitude of this young man and the manner in which he has accepted his present situation .Instead of complaining ,he has adapted so well and turned this tiny apartment into a home and filled it warmth and positivity. He has learnt the first lesson of life either find a solution or accept .Such wisdom in one so young is quite amazing .

Am a Canadian living in Florida and have met a lot of New Yorkers who have moved to Florida bec of the cost of living. You are amazing; I have 2 boys who are probably same age as you and I am hoping they can just be as positively oriented as you. Kudos to your parents for raising you well!

My husband and I decided to spend our retirement years traveling in an RV. it was great. Then Covid happened and we realized we needed a home base. We opted for a tiny house. Tiny living is really quite liberating. I am very impressed with your use of space. Dang! You even have a full size refrigerator in there.

This is so sweet. It humbles me. It makes me reevaluate my own space and my own things and how much respect and appreciation I show for anything I have. I’m proud of you. You’ve made a lovely home for yourself 🥹
  • That has to be the most efficient 95 sq ft apartment ever. $1100 dollars all up, down town New York is a bargain and you have it set up nicely. Well done!!
  • @jamnee
I have great respect for this guy making a home out of this small space. He has done a wonderful job!
  • @beawild
It doesn't matter whether it's a shack or a castle, to have a place that you can call home is all that matters. You have done a great job with your apt. 👍
  • This Small Apartment is Neat Clean and Functional for this young man! He definitely independent, focused, and definitely ambitious. God Bless.

How cute and cozy and an AWESOME use of space!! I live in California so I'm not surprised the rent is $1100. People here pay almost $2,000 JUST to rent a room in another person's house that you have to share with other people. I would pick a tiny space like yours ANY DAY over living with other people. I watch enough People's Court to know that rarely works out. LOL
