  • In the 50's I was in Dar Es Salaam on a Royal war ship then down to Durban for a Royal visit before moving onto Port Elizabeth,a visit to see the elephants organisd by the local branch of the Royal Naval association befor we moved onto the Cape, here we celibrated South Africa's independence. We were treated to a feast ,local & South African families looked after us..Mr.& Mrs Hart,if any one of your family or decendants ever read this blog..I still recall your hospitaly, thank you. I am now 85 years old. In Durban I had a visit to the Mayville Hotel..again thanks for the hospitality, I still have the set of wine glasses you gave. me and the memories.

Seeing the real people of Africa, notice the man with one leg riding the bike, made me pause and realize this train trip though lovely, has nothing really to do with life in Africa, it glides above the Living.

Took this train from Victoria Falls to Capetown about 25 years ago. The route was curtailed because of civil disturbances. Great food. Wonderful experience.

Thank you for taking me on this trip at the comfort of my home. It is indeed a DREAM trip. When this pandemic is over, I wish to experience the same - first hand.

A beautifully narrated journey. I am a proud child of Africa. Born and raised in Zambia ( then Northern Rhodesia ) I attended high school as a border in Bulawayo Zimbabwe ( Rhodesia ) and I now live in South Africa since 1981. I have seen Victoria Falls a few times and I have visited many beautiful Game Reserves. This video takes its viewers on a wonderful African journey 👍
  • The narrator's deep smooth voice , the soothing music and the enchanting landscape make for one of the best documentaries I ever saw. This truly is the pride of Africa.
