Medical emergency my eye, he wasn’t paying attention like so many other drivers.

That trucking company has had 4 DOT vehicle inspections in the past 2 years, and they have a 50% failure rate. The national average is 22%.

If distracted driving is a medical emergency then ok. He corrected course pretty quick for a medical emergency...

It was distracted driving once again. It's worse than ever. A medical emergency. He had no problem getting into the left turn lane.

The only message that needs to be sent out to truckers is accountability. Hold them accountable, set an example, and the rest will be wary. The driver had a "medical emergency" and stopped 1 mile down the road after he "realized" what happened. Hit and run.

I am truck driver and i can tell you that company has drivers who dont care about safety i see them runing 75 or better on 285 all the time there crazy

And they say riding in the backseat is safer for children. There's no safe in a vehicle period..😢😢😢😢😢

Looks like his medical emergency was an inability to look at his phone and drive at the same time.

Man that’s shocking to watch. Hoping for the best for her son, that’s heartbreaking

How is stopping a mile up the road and calling the police considered a hit n run?
  • @mts4611
They bout to be sitting pretty from a nice LAWSUIT. I honestly doubt he had a medical emergency. That was just the most convenient lie he could think of at the moment. I hope it's revealed that the inside of the truck has cameras.

Medical emergency my butt! He swerved and hit the car than corrected the steering.

I would be willing to bet he was distracted more than having a medical emergency. I drive a truck in metro Atlanta and distracted driving is out of control, I see more people with phones in their hands than not. If law enforcement would crack down on this violation, maybe people would put the phones down and our roads would not be constantly blocked due to accidents.
