It's funny how Mario Kart 8 has a mechanic that was from another racing franchise from Nintendo, but there's not one track in all 96 tracks of the game that has an anti gravity pipe or cylinder for you to race on where you can go fully upside down and then right side up again.

i recently played with lowest traction.. and yea, it’s so hard to get a map where it matters. This is why people that say “skill issue” when you can’t succeed on a bad combo like that, don’t actually know how the game works!! it’s 100% not worth focusing on one stat unless it’s speed or MT. The amount of maps that it just DOESNT matter how high your anti gravity or glider speed is, is crazy. It’s almost every map in the game (except maybe alpine pass which has a massive glider section that takes up half the map, maybe that) If you wanna win, play meta or something close. Villager Ink striker, Inkling Scooty, Yoshi Scooty etc. Helps you get used to the muscle memory & not messing with your timing of the MTs. If you’re a good player, just play what you want lmao
