Thank you! I used to drive from work at Pacific Bell on Gower to Atwater Village in my 88 Mustang Gt convertible with the top down every night. It was magic. I lived there 16 years and it was always special driving around Hollywood at night. I still have the car and I live in Texas. Tgabks for the flash back!

Maaan, I miss those days, I’m turning 50 in May, where has time gone. I love that Cars song too.

Cant someone build a time machine already?
  • Wow Lawry's was on the other side of La Cienega back then. I remember shopping at the May Co in the 80s where I bought my first Member's Only jacket lol.

I know people whine a lot about cel phones and sh*t, but seriously those who saw this in person and today know there has been a fundamental change in everyday behavior. Not saying bad or good, and such shifts probably occur periodically...but this has been a big one and so fast. Not bemoaning, just saying "wow".

"Hollywood 1980-82" should be "Hollywood 1985", as the style of the buses is that from the mid '80s, and the movie titles on the marquees are from 1984 (A Soldier's Story, The Cotton Club) and 1985 (The Breakfast Club)

I wonder if Hollywood Boulevard is still full of classics. I want to see it one day.
