interested how skin bans are going to work since changing a few pixel would make it a different skin

I swear the chorus fruit already did that! That's how me and my friend overcome our fear of landing with the elytra, we popped a fruit mid air and boom, magically on the ground

The problem I have with name bans is that I read some years ago that when PSN did this, people reported their names as being reported because it contained a sequence of letters which is offensive in a language the user don’t speak. How will Mojang circumvent this?
  • @KevTheSheep
I'm actually surprised that the usernames weren't already monitored, skin bans are going to be a lot of fun for their moderation team to sort out though
  • @AlexandruCarjan
Levers should have stone sounds when placed because the base is stone
  • Mob attack reach update is great. I always hated when mobs were able to attack me through thin blocks or cross blocks. I even almost got killed in my hardcore world because of this.

I miss minecraft being yours after you bought it and if you made a server that was yours.

Can't wait for build reporting! You take a picture of a build, choose who built it (Someone you hate) and bam! They're banned!

Fun Fact! It’s been proven that the Minecraft reporting feature actually has NO human interaction at all despite what Mojang claims every time they talk about it. There are well over 100 documented cases of people being banned on Realms servers when nobody online reported them, some cases where nobody else was even online. Of those cases when appealing 100% of all responses are automated! There has never been a proven case of any person having a human response to an appeal.

Finally. I can stay in my house without needing to worry about dying to the corners of my house at Night.

4:10 That already existed i remember trying to warp to waypoints in modded minecraft 1.12 and hearing NARATOR NARATES ALL
  • @Basegud
As soon as a heard "player reporting changes", I let out the most audible and drawn out "ughhhhhhhh" that you will ever hear

Just like when chat reporting first started I hate seeing the major corporation trying to moderate everyone and trust the severs themselves to do a way better job. I also am terrified they are setting up skin bans. It just feels like a change that brings us one step closer to losing custom skins as we know it.

I moved my "drop item" key to b after accidentally dropping my sword during combat one too many times, so I already knew about the control-b narrator thing. It was definitely already in the game. I ended up changing my hotkey again because of it. I didn't want to turn the narrator on every time I dropped an item while sprinting.

The player reporting (especially skin reporting) will highly depend on what the Mojang/Microsoft team consider as "inappropriate". If someone reports someone else just to be annoying, they shouldn't ban/suspend anyone. Context matters. Also I think some servers could be 18+, based on your Minecraft account info. You have to put in your age when creating an account, right? If you lie about your age, it's your own fault, or the parents' fault.

I love how it says they don't monitor chat, but yet when you play on a realm and swear it gets automatically reported :/
  • @RedGamelyon
quick play is obviously meant to be a competitor to multi instance launchers, like multi mc, prism, etc but it just doesn’t cut it at all in my opinion they'd have to actually redesign the terrible modern launcher, and provide actual multi-instance support. you still have to manually load in the correct mods and such. it seems like a redundant feature right now unless they actually innovate upon it.
  • @maxxiong
My only worry is mass reporting-related issues, although an easy fix is just to make false-reported names non-reportable a second time.
  • @Roaxial
for future snapshot videos when you are talking about the sound changes could you demonstrate them after you've finished talking? I have some difficulty making them out when they are happening at the same time as you describing the change.
