The many different features and services of Amazon never cease to amaze me. This is a very impressive use of their brand. On you own site, letting people know that their order will be fulfilled by Amazon puts them at ease, and garners a level of trust that would take years to develop. That's because they is both power in their name/brand as well as an expectation of service. Can't go wrong here.

I have never heard of Fulfillment before, but this is a great service for any business. This can be especially useful for a startup or small business because it allows them to focus on other aspects of the business. What’s really great is you can use Amazon to handle most supply chain functions for your business by using Fulfillment. Pay as you go is another great function because the cost is scaled to how much product Amazon is shipping and storing for you.

This seems like a great way to save time and eliminates the need for you to have to do boring monotonous tasks like package products and print shipping labels. Amazon definitely has the manpower and ability to handle large order requests that smaller businesses just wouldn't be able to keep up with. This is a great choice for those looking to expand their business. Thanks for the info!
  • Amazon does run one of the largest order fulfillment networks in the world. How great is it to have Amazon take care of shipping and all of the other details for you? It is great exposure, and it let's businesses focus on what they do best while leveraging Amazon's expertise. This is a great concept and a great way to build your business. Thanks for the great information.

What a great service from a juggernaut of internet shipping. My wife needs to research this service for her Letterpress company as she continues to grow her online sales. Amazon has built an empire on internet sales and shipping and to think that they can also handle small businesses shipping concerns as well really shows excellent top leadership.

I wasn’t sure how this worked, but this is a great feature smaller and midsized businesses should seriously look into. With Amazon offering Prime Membership, using Fulfillment by Amazon should put your items towards the top of the list (at least with prime members) when people are looking for a product you sell. I know I am more likely to purchase something I can get in 2 days for free shipping than to pay for shipping an potentially wait 5 days. Great idea, I wish more businesses used this.

If there is an order fulfillment site that sticks out most on the Internet it is definitely Amazon. They are a titan among the industry and are still growing. They have fine tuned their system to be the most efficient and as error free as possible. Like you said, not everyone can be good at everything, so focus your time and effort onto something other than the behind the scenes logistics and leave it in the hands of a trusted third party. Great video.

I see "Fulfilled by Amazon" all of the time, but I didn't know you actually send Amazon your products. Makes sense, but never thought about it. This is a great service for small businesses due to Amazon's huge presence. I would think this also reduces advertising costs as a bonus. Amazon's pay as you go pricing for storage seems to be a better deal than leasing warehouse space. In fact, I can totally see having products just delivered to Amazon direct from the mfg in China! -Lee

And who better to let us know about this nifty service than the CEO of NXS...But seriously, this is great what amazon does. It's almost like having a full blown business in your back pocket, because they store you products, ship them...they literally do everything, just like what Phil said. This is great for businesses that are still starting up, businesses that are still working out of their garage. Great share Phil... -Ronrico

The evolution of Amazon is really something amazing. From what they were they've turned into a logistics giant. Even though they're one of the largest companies in the world they're flexible enough to handle the the logistics needs of significantly smaller companies. My online research shows that Amazon has spent nearly 200 million dollars on EACH of 5 fulfillment centers in the past year. Amazon is already a world leader in its field, and that isn't changing anytime soon.

Wow~what a great service! I didn't pay attention to the "fulfillment by Amazon", but I know I understand what it does for. Amazon really does a great variety of business and services, sometimes I am curious how it can manage its such huge customer database? I sell my textbook through Amazon, I don't know whether it is worth me to use fulfillment for that because I don't have many inventory to sell. However, if I am a small business owner, I would definitely try that. Thanks for push it to me.Luo

So I'm assuming NXS will be doing this soon huh? :) I swear Amazon thinks of everything. They really are taking great strides in today's technology. Looking into FBA, there are perks for the customer that would be very attractive to a seller. They handle APOs, giftwrapping, and Amazon's super saver shipping... the only 'downside' is that seller fees have been increasing over time. But then again, I'm a big believer in spending a little money to save time and make life easier.
