Japan disbanded its military following its defeat in World War II and adopted a pacifist constitution that prohibits the country from engaging in war. Now decades later, Tokyo is significantly boosting its security spending, vowing to increase its defence budget to 2 per cent of its total GDP by 2027. The government says the move is in response to pressure from Japan's allies as well as its regional rivals.

With neighbors like China and Russia, all of the other countries in Asia need a strong military. You can ask Bhutan, Nepal, Tibet and the Philippines what a bad idea it was not to have one.

Japan really doesn't have a choice, but to prepare for war. An increasingly assertive China in the Pacific and North Korea threatening them constantly, leaves them no choice, but to prepare. Hopefully peace prevails. This is an extremely tough situation for Japan. Economy in turmoil, terrible demographics, inflation and big debt. I really hope nothing happens, but Japan has no choice.

As a Japanese, my country is currently developing a giant robot. I intend to make this work in ground combat. Are there any people in your country who would like to purchase this product? Please be assured about the safety. It is made by Toyota.
