The annual Dallas Conference on Science & Faith explores exciting scientific discoveries about the origin of the universe, the origin of life, and the development of biological complexity, as well as critiquing the scientific and cultural impact of Darwinism. It also deals directly with the intersection of science and religion and the role that faith plays in scientific research and study.

Stephen C. Meyer received his Ph.D. in the philosophy of science from the University of Cambridge. A former geophysicist and college professor, he now directs Discovery Institute’s Center for Science and Culture. He has authored most recently the New York Times best seller Darwin’s Doubt: The Explosive Origin of Animal Life and the Case for Intelligent Design (HarperOne, 2013) as well as Signature in the Cell: DNA and the Evidence for Intelligent Design (HarperOne, 2009), which was named a Book of the Year by the prestigious Times (of London) Literary Supplement in 2009. In 2004, Stephen C. Meyer, one of the preeminent scientists studying the origins of life, ignited a firestorm of media and scientific controversy when a biology journal at the Smithsonian Institution published his peer-reviewed article advancing the theory of Intelligent Design. Then, in his two bestselling books, Signature in the Cell and Darwin’s Doubt, he helped unravel a mystery that Charles Darwin did not address (How did life begin?) and offered further scientific proof to bolster his arguments on the history of life and our origins, concluding that life was designed. In those previous books, Meyer purposely refrained from attempting to answer questions about “who” might have designed life. Now, in The Return of the God Hypothesis, he brings his ideas full circle, providing a reasoned and evidence-based answer to the ultimate mystery of the universe, drawn from recent scientific discoveries in physics, cosmology, and biology.

Stephen Meyer is so eloquent, it's like listening to a master musician playing his musical instrument. I could listen to him for hours!

Men reject the knowledge of God, for their deeds are evil...
  • @dewbye63
He doesn't argue. He demonstrates. Isn't it great when God imbues a bit of His wisdom to a person?!!

Dr Meyer is a great man without a doubt he is doing GOD s work and helping us all by strengthening our faith in our Creator , May The Creator guide him and us all to straight path path to paradise .
  • I did have one man who was a wonderful Christian who was a teacher at my university. He stated to me and my friends that the more he learned about science the more he knew there is a God.
  • It seems a sad thing that so many people live out their lives never thinking how the intelligent design of our world made all of our lives possible for us to experience, without ever knowing how or why. Thank God he does not require more than we can give him.

This guy is my new scientist hero. I don’t see how people cannot see the design. All I have to say is the periodic table. Logical building blocks of reality.
  • May God bless you and give you light in your heart to embrace the ultimate truth.
  • Consider the words of the renowned 19th century French microbiologist, Louis Pasteur: “ A little bit of science distances from God; a lot of science brings one back to Him.” — ( “Un peu de science éloigne de Dieu, beaucoup de science y ramène." )

Admire Stephen so much, keeps calm, is a gentleman in all his debates while others go off like firecrackers, admire his courage, what a great role model for the young, as some parts of society plunge back into the black hole of paganism and disorder!!
  • I never tire of listening to Dr. Meyer—Such a wonderful speaker. Parts of this talk reminded me of this quote by Baha’u’llah: “…whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth is a direct evidence of the revelation within it of the attributes and names of God, inasmuch as within every atom are enshrined the signs that bear eloquent testimony to the revelation of that Most Great Light.”

Thank you so much Stephen Meyer, this is infinitely better than watching the mind numbing thing called T.V.
  • @kenzeier2943
I studied Darwins theory from cover to cover and one thing that nobody ever mentions but that is true is he mentioned creation, that word, many many times in his book.
