Making a Speed Square Holder

I made this speed square holder based off the one Tom Silva made in an episode of Ask This Old House. It works great for keeping a 7" speed square close at hand. You can clip it onto your belt, apron, tool bag, or anything really!

Here are the materials:
7" Speed Square: amzn.to/3sieVc3
1" Aluminum Square Tube: thd.co/3omEhEE
Small piece of wood
Belt Clips: amzn.to/34zuYda
5-Min Epoxy: amzn.to/3rsgHIp

Great design! An angle to the top of the wood may make it easier to get the square in, but it looks like the chamfer in the aluminum really helps with that already. Were you able to find that aluminum at a big box store?
  • I put the square in the pouch and get jabbed. I’ll have to try this out.

How can I contact you? I want to make the same transit van build in the next year. How can I get CAD files and have a company cut all parts for me? Can this be done?
