This was so helpful for me. Iā€™m learning Spanish for my new granddaughter. Sheā€™s Black/Mexican and I have to understand what sheā€™s saying and what her mother is saying to her and her side of the family.

The easy hack is watching your videos! I can't understate how helpful you've been in learning spanish. What I learned in high school pales in comparison to what you've taught me since I graduated University. Your videos have given me drive and the tools that I need to finally learn the language i've always wanted to learn. Thank you!

I am a beginner, living in Poland; started learning Spanish the right way which you recommend (minus practice with a native speaker) only two weeks ago. I find your lessons very helpful and intend to continue benefiting from them. Please (the question may also be directed to other of your students active on this page and reading my message): Could I, at this point a beginner in Spanish, benefit from learning simultaneously Spanish and Italian (which I don't know at all, though understand quite well, and want to learn,) and Spanish and French (which I used to know quite well and want to resurect). I just wonder how effective or harmful for any of the languages would that be. In other words: Is it necessary to know one of the two languages very well (as is now the case here) to successfully learn a new language ? Could pairing French and Spanish or Spanish and Italian, the languages so similar, work? What would work better for my language aquisition (the goal is to learn/ brush on several languages with the least effort , in the shortest period of time) pairing my now rusty German with English or French?

I feel so overwhelmed with my Spanish 1 class in college and I feel like it's like you said in number one, I'm memorizing them but not understanding. It's such a struggle because you would think a college class would be the place to learn Spanish but they don't really teach it well. At least not at my school, but I think I'm going to take my learning of this language into my own hands.
