Had a few guest editors help me out in making this one. Be sure to check out the links to their channels in the description of this video!

Surprised that you went through this entire video without mentioning Tinella Nosa once.
  • I have a different interpretation of Belos’ defeat in Watching and Dreaming: When he says Luz be no better than “them”, I saw it as him referring to all of the other characters in the Boiling Isles. His whole plan stems from him viewing all those with magic as subhuman (kind of like puritanical religious folk in the olden days). It’s his last attempt to try and convince Luz that they are beyond this lifestyle. It’s a genius contrast between the protagonist and antagonist of a television show.

Great video, but of all the episodes to defend, I’m putting it all on the line for Any Sport in a Storm. I personally really like how the first half parallels a season 1 episode, only for the stakes to drastically increase when Hunter reveals himself as the Golden Guard. It shows the disconnect he has from the other kids in the show who just get to be kids, while Hunter has a lifetime worth of indoctrination he struggles with. Not to mention, this is the first episode where you can really see the change Luz has made in Willow’s life and it’s when I started really appreciating her as a character. To me, all these character interactions absolutely make this my favorite comfort episode. And I just love seeing these characters happy. And while I don’t find the Luz and Amity plot too exciting, I appreciate it. It’s like a little love letter to the fans and encouraging them to not only engage in fandom, but to acknowledge how it can shape our lives and relationships. Again, not the most exciting stuff, but it feels really sincere.
  • As sad as it is that this show came to a rushed conclusion, it’s incredible how much it came together in the end

honestly i feel like a lot of the 'bad' filler episodes like any sport in a storm and the one where they get trapped by the bat queen are some of my favourites, not bc they advance the plot but just because theyre fun and i am strange
  • 33:15 small correction, Belos said Luz would be just as bad as the witches if she killed him, not him. Which I think is a great touch. Claiming she would be just as bad as him would at least mean he acknowledges that what he was doing is wrong and that he went too far. But he still views Witches as inherently immoral and humans as superior. It's so cool to see that even in his dying moments, when he's trying his best to come up with as convincing a lie/manipulation as possible, he still has a hero complex and can't admit he's at fault for anything.
  • 6:08 You did not just call Any Sport in a Storm 'filler'. I can kind of get it being called generic, but filler? Really? It has probably the most character development for Hunter than any other episode (I don't count Hollow Mind because that felt like more 'forced' character development for Hunter) We also find out that Hunter really isn't respected all that much in the Emperor's Coven despite being the Head, which isn't much, but still is something. There is a lot of character development for Willow, giving her a lot more confidence in herself with creating the Flyer Derby team. Of course it introduces Hunter to Willow and Gus, who quickly become an amazing friend group, AND we get some insight into Darius's character, hinting at the fact that he isn't all bad, "I was just going to drop them off at Hexside." This could also be considered character development for Steve as well, making it very clear that he isn't all that happy in the Emperor's coven, "Steve is beginning to regret his choices", followed by Hunter saying, "I think Hunter is too" All that is just to say, DEFINITELY not a filler, it's okay to not enjoy it or to find it generic or boring, but you can't say it's in ANY WAY a filler episode.

Gonna be honest I like how majority of the lower ranked episodes are season 1 shenanigans since season 2 kind of just learns from it and upgrades in a way making greater episodes
  • @the_UF365
Vee got SHAFTED HARD by the season 3 cut-down.
  • @Milkycolaa
This is such a well-made video! I disagree with quite a few placements, but your explanations are understandable. I'm gonna miss this show :(
  • @wxy3964
This was really fun to put together. Great job!

  • I love The Owl House. I'm so happy we get to experience it along with Gravity Falls and Amphibia. Such banger storied shows from Disney Television Animation.
  • I totally agree with your top pick the episode has a lot of fun moments but it also forwards the plot in an emotional way. RIP Flapjack 😢
  • @the33rdguy
The final would have been even better if hunter got to say something to belos. Or Luz saying he should do it but refusing to and letting rain and eda instead. I wish more hunter. So like 9.9/10 for me.😊
  • If I were to change the ending of Once Upon a Swap, I would've made Eda having to clean Hooty as a getting a taste of her own medicine. Not the best ending, but at least it would be satisfying because Eda was the one who suggested the Body Swap to begin with.
