This is the best DIY walkthrough I’ve seen to build an insert. Thanks for taking the time to document it for those of us always trying to tweak our setup!
  • This is great! I am going to build my simulator in about a month and will definitely be doing this! I was going to buy the Gung-ho Holy Grail insert but I love that this one is replaceable and easily serviced.
  • I build my entire sim based off of your videos thanks for the details and updates as you make improvements.
  • @k9hunter241
Looks great. It’s so hard to find one pre made online that isn’t a fortune. Just finished with my simulator with a mevo plus after being inspired by your set up. Keep up the good work!
  • @FairwayFather
I have needed this! Building my simulator now after 5 years of planning, saving, and drooling!!
  • @seanabbott8726
Great video. Just installing my 1st simulator & have really appreciated everyone’s video’s/guidance on how to maximize the space & make the most of the set up
  • Currently building my 1st SIM so this would be a great addition to getting it completed! Thanks for the tutorial.
  • @jsewell2607
awesome design. certainly admire the thought, care and integrity you not only put into your craftsmanship, but your subscriber community as well. thanks
  • @mrjohki
Great video, ended up glueing the foam part to my wood floor and using Velcro to attach it to the plexiglass. If you have extra plexiglass you can put a piece a couple inches behind your ball to make sure you aren’t chunking. Kind of like the eyeline golf speed trap.

First time I see this idea around the you tube channel. Very impressed.
  • Hey Man. Thanks a million on video and explanation. It’s guys like you that save us from shelling out hundreds of dollars. I have saved this video, as my sim construction starts in June. Grazie Mille.
  • @DaveGreasy
This is awesome. I ended buying a monster mat but wish I had built something like this instead, it’s just not soft enough. Thanks for the detailed video!
  • @andyherman
This is awesome. Was looking for some videos on indoor golf simulators and came across your channel. Looking forward to watching more videos from you and continue to learn! :)
  • @AskGolfNut
One of the best options I've seen for a reusable hitting mat in a simulator 👍
  • @jeffc6283
Love the OCD/attention to details into your whole build. Can't wait to do mine!
  • @randysmith106
That is a great design! I'm in Mesa, AZ and I'm currently puting a chipping\putting green in my backyard with multiple hitting matts in various places and lengths around the yard and I'm going to put one of these in every hitting matt. Thank you for sharing!
  • @Grandalls1
Such easy to follow instructions. I think that even I can follow them. Recently got a matt but not satisfied. It will be great to have control over material.
  • @SuperTrane5
Thanks GolfRnd!! You going to inspire many sim golfers to save their elbows and joints while also saving some $$$ too! Appreciate the video!!!!
  • @rs6739
This is almost identical to the hitting strip I purchased, very good information and great build. Thank You !!
