  • LOVED my ‘15 Veloster. Coilovers, swaybars, lip. Quick n dirty. Drove it 289,000 miles in just over 5 years. Recall notice warned of “Catastrophic Engine Failure.” I was denied a service appt, and a week later my engine took a dump. Service and corporate laughed when I suggested replacement. “300k? Don’t you think you got your money’s worth?” I listed it as a rolling shell on Marketplace and sold it right there in the Hyundai lot. Guy signed the title on the service desk. I Walked across the street and bought a Honda.

The veloster n was the best purchase ive ever made
  • @ScreaminUgmoE
He is absolutely right about the KDM community. I bought a Forte GT and didn't even realize how awesome the community was. So many wonderful and nice people.
  • @anightride9617
That was the most fire intro for a veloster I've ever seen lmao

I love my first gen rspec (2015) bought it last October and had a lot of fun modding it this summer. Did full bolt ons but no tune. Has 85,000 miles on it and went from nw Wisconsin to Florida and back with no problems and I wasn't exactly taking my time. Just use GOOD oil and change it at 3000 miles it's just fine. Also remember to warm your car up before thrashing!

Never once regretted getting into the Veloster platform. The first gen cars were so unique looking and once they announced the N It became my dream car. Had everything gen of this car and the N is the best thing Hyundai ever made.

It’s Hun Day like Sun Day Not Hi Un Day. At least that’s the commercial Hyundai dropped in the beginning. 😜

2020 Veloster N owner here. Upgrade the HPFP on the car to 35320-2GTA0. It's the HPFP on the 2019 Hyundai Sonata and is slightly more reliable compared to the stock HPFP. It's not required for stock unless it starts to break, but is highly recommended as a basic upgrade by everyone in the community if you want to make more power. The later years might have a better HPFP but its a common problem for Veloster N for the 2019 and 2020 model years
  • Recently bought one and I love it tbh it’s not so fast but I got an exhaust and just like a simple cold air intake it’s picks up pretty fast for a v4 it’s pops when I rev it so I like it lol 😂

I bought one of these back in August and it's the second most fun vehicle I've ever owned. It's a vitamin c 2016 turbo, and aside from a couple minor complaints about it's low idle and less than expected MPG, i love it.

Average Hyundai hater: 🤓 Average veloster enjoyer: 🗿

  • @Doying912
I love my Veloster Turbo! It gets a bad rap, and for some valid reasons. It's not the best. But it looks so cool and its cheap fun! And I'm so glad you made this video! I'm always having issues when trying to find mods for my car.
  • @Exo_Seraph
Good to see some love for the Veloster. I'm selling mine now to get a Gen Coupe, but I loved it even if it was NA

First rule is to NEVER modify the engine. The gamma 1.6 is notorious for developing chronic knock at 100k. Luckily hyundai will replace your engine for free. I have heard of people putting on elantra throttlebodies, which would be the only modification worth doing. In terms of suspension, bc coils or koni yellows with stock or eibach springs will serve you well. The 1st gen at least has a tendency to never rotate and always understeer, so a stiff AF rear rollbar does wonders for handling. Also getting 17in wheels can help with initial acceleration. In terms of looks, imo a roof rack and mudflaps make it look great. The veloster is so easy to make look bad, so keep it simple stupid. - a 1st gen NAV owner

He got the theme back, let's go!
