Why Isn't The F/A-18A Here Yet? How Are They Going To Add It Now?

Before you all burn me alive asking why my colors are so cooked, I fixed them after recording this video. There was some weird HDR setting on.

The problem with the hornet is the FCS. That is the only good reason it has been taking this long as nothing in the game has flight perfomance so dependent on the computers like the hornet does. And without the hornet alpha it simply wont be a hornet. My guess is making the plane feel right has been more of a challenge than they expected and as much as gaijin has released planes that feel wrong they dont like to do it if they can avoid it. If the hornet shows up feeling like a small phantom theres gonna be a problem.

I have a theory, and that they are waiting to add the F-18 to add it along with the anti-radiation missiles. I base this on the new radar stations they put in, and that the Patriot and the S-300 are in the game files

I think they might add both the A and C at the same time. The C with the upgraded motors could easily be 13.7 with 10 AMRAAMs and 2 winders. Though I honestly think the game is ready for an early block super hornet at this point; its got 12 AIM-120s but the pylons induce so much drag its subsonic at most altitudes. Can't imagine it being that much better, if at all, than a MSIP II. The more interesting naval fighter to add before the SH would def be the F-14D with AMRAAM. It was tested with it, fitted with the dual pylons, and the sparrow stations could accept them. The Navy just didn't have the money to deploy them. We already have precedent in game of a plane receiving missiles it never carried though it theoretically could/would have in the Yak-141.

They could do a thing like with apex predators where they added the block 10 and 15 and 20, they could add the f18a with the aim 9l and aim 7m, they could give it the 9m but it would have to be a higher br, and then add the f18c after it with the hmd, new radar and rwr, JHMICS, the aim 9m and the aim 120, and it would get more ground ordinance such as the agm65d/g/h, laser guided bombs such as paveways, and etc The f18a would have a ground loadout similar to the f16a block 10, agm 65b, dumb bombs and rockets, and maybe the gbu8 if they wanted. I think a cool update before we get the f18 would be a ground update, but add stuff like the a10c and anti radiation missiles and Sam sites, bigger Sam sites, like the s300, s8, etc, NOTE: anti radiation missiles are basically AMRAAMs that are ONLY meant for anti air defenses, they lock onto radar signatures, you can not fire them against tanks, and if it somehow did hit a tank it would do no damage since it’s meant for smaller lighter targets such as anti air systems, we would also get air to ground radars with this meaning that yes with more modern air to ground radars you could lock up tanks with them, but most air to ground radars are meant for anti air targets, where you only lock those since you are only firing your anti radiation missiles with it, technically you can slew a maverick to it, but it’s hard to lock tanks. They could add all this in the same update, would be sick to get JDAM bombs as well, which is basically a dumb bomb equipped with a “tv” seeker head, it’s really a gps/ins guidance system, but that basically means in game you can only lock it with ur air to ground radar, you can’t use a camera to lock it, or a lightning pod, only the radar, and would work as a fire and forget but more of a drop and forget lol, that would be cool as well but I would see that coming more with the f15e strike eagle, the a10c can carry it, and same with the f18c and f16c (rarely), but I would love to see an f15e as well

My guess is they'll add the F/A-18C directly, totally skipping the A and A Plus. There was a moment to add the A, and that was two patches ago, now it would be pretty much DOA. Maybe they'll make the A a premium or event vehicle as you commented at the end. Also, this way they could go and add a Finnish F-18C to the Swedish tree, and maybe a Swiss one to the German tree.

They'll prolly add the A at like 11.7 then when the amraam carrier version comes out the A will move up to 12.0

Idk if this is comparable but when it comes to Gaijin adding the newer model before the older model, the AV-8B+ was added before the AV-8B (without radar), so it's a possibility that we'll see the same treatment with the Hornet imo.

where is the mig-25 and mig-31?

I feel like there should be a lot of different jets that should come OTHER than OP US multirole vehicles with no counterplay. For example Aardvark version (AND Su-24 versions.... who knows why they are still not here).
