KEY EXPRESSIONS
You can use any target language you like with this game. Here are some sample expressions you can use with your students:
T: Who was it? / Who touched your thumb? / Who do you think it was?
Ss: It was (Kelly). / I think it was Kelly. /
This game can also be used to practice any vocabulary / expression you want. For example, if you are teaching vocabulary about jobs and occupations, you can give the three students at the front a flashcard each with a job picture on it. Then, when it is time to guess, you can ask students 'What do you want to be?' And the student who is guessing can say the job that is on flashcard- 'I want to be a (doctor).

Do you play this game in your class?
-
It was called 7 Up when I was in school (7 students go up) and we'd say (in unison), "heads down, thumbs up, it's time to play 7 up!". The more students up, the more students get to participate.

When I was a kid this was called seven up. I remember us chanting “ heads down, thumbs up time to play seven up”

I had doubt. If the guess was not taught then same game again will go
-
Nice explanation 👌👌👌
-
I doubt it's an ESL classroom game, because it has nothing to do with learning English and this activity doesn't have an academic value. It doesn't even give students an opportunity to produce the language.
