SUCH good teaching! 😀 Just wish I had my own island to practice with my oh so VERY loud self. 😀 That’s one good reason to have a personal voice teacher. So you can go yell in their studio. 😀🎤🎶

Hi Madeleine! I just want to let you know that among all the different vocal coaches on YouTube, I find your explanation the most useful to really understand how mixed voice should work and sound like. Many coaches encourage the use of nasalities to help identify mix, but doesn’t necessarily give good explanation why that is the case — a misbalancs of air pressure between mouth and nose as simple as that. I think many haven’t succeeded in accessing the mix is because of dominating mouth pressure, so practice takes time to accommodate in that nasal space (the mask). It’s easy to fall out of that space and going back to just mouth and we strain as we sing higher in chest register. I really want to thank you for making such good videos and insightful singing advice!!!!!

Fantastic. I remember asking you about this very subject a few months ago, when you said that Dimash's ability to go through different register shows his ability to balance his air pressure or something like that. I asked you what that meant. So either you remembered the question [Even if you didn't remember who asked], or this is a wonderful coincidence. Either way, thank you.

It's magic!! I love how Madeleine teaches us to use our body instinct to develop our singing ability
  • very helpful; my challenges is changing registers, both low and high are strong, while mid is a squeaky wheel
  • Here I go again you are extremely awesome I cannot believe you make singing so simple. In the 80s I was taking voice lessons I knew I could go high and low and everywhere but they never could get it out of me the teachers could not do what you do today you are a blessing, amazing and I hope your life is happy and beautiful as you are thank you
