Compton is full of wonderful, hardworking people. I was just at Faith Inspirational church for my cousins funeral. She brought the first Girl Scout Troop to Compton and mentored hundreds of girls. The pastor is amazing as well. Loved this video!

Him telling them that he does the push-ups for the amount of vets that take their lives everyday hit deep... Thank you to all our service members out there. Stay safe and strong. What a wonderful man, after a 19 hour flight, hour drive and didn't even stay to eat. Thank you for your service and kind heart sir. This was an amazing video and wholesome family as well. Dude worked 7 weeks traveling straight. Flew 19 hours, drove an hour to get there, cooked a meal for a wonderful deserving family, & didn’t even stay to eat?? Mannn that’s LOVE. Mad props to Chef Rush. You’re a stand up guy. Prayers for you Sir!! ❤❤❤

I think this is probably the best video I've seen ever. For them to risk going into a neighborhood with so many negative conceptions and find out there r good, welcoming and God fearing people living there. Chef Rush is definitely a class act for taking time out of his busy schedule to do this for humble folk that will cherish that evening!❤

Years ago, as a white youth group, we attended a Sunday service at a black church in NM. We asked how we could serve and spent time with everyone. A man who used to be a chief chef for the Navy (I think that's the right branch of service) asked each person our favorite dish. When we came back on Wednesday night, he had cooked them all! I was so blessed since the team was mostly boys and they ate like it. It proved to me that God was going to provide for the whole trip!

I am from L.A. and seeing this just warmed my heart that there are good people everywhere. In this day and age I know its hard for someone to knock at my door and say you want to cook for me I would be very reluctant no matter what race you are.

The bigger message was all about the Universal language of LOVE through food, & fellowship! I ❤ Chef’s story, G’mas sense of humor, the dog with the hoodie, the kids, the church scene, etc. I truly enjoyed this heartfelt moment❤❤❤.

I just have to say mad props to the Discover Connection team for not using Chef Rush in the title or thumbnail. We all know it’d be so easy as creators to want to do that to get more views, but yall left that for a surprise within the video and it was so much more of a treat and stayed true to what yall were trying to accomplish. I’m definitely watching more because of this.
